Laugh and cry Cons is a sitcom. With a voiceover laugh. With a low budget. Television. And -- that's all, I guess. It's not even a minus. I love this series so much that I have nothing to complain about. Maybe taste. I love the "everyday" genre.
Pros. Realism. Nice girls. Great characters (and yes, I forgot, I would add Alexa’s father to the minuses, but there is definitely taste). Humor is really funny jokes, not tortured grimaces from Disney one-day movies. And the tone with which the theme of the series is revealed. Very uncomfortable topic. Not everyone has the courage to associate with the problems of oncology comedy series.
'Alexa and Katie' doesn't make fun of cancer, but shows the scary side of life. Illness can be part of reality, and the question is, how do you accept that change? It can be especially difficult for teenagers. I think this project could be a huge help. To talk about the hard side of life in the language of a youth show is a wonderful feat. And this series is doing just fine.
Of course, it’s not just for the sick. The atmosphere of the picture is the ability to exist simultaneously with unpleasant overtones, simultaneously with something disarming, pressing psychologically, but not to give up and not to be discouraged. To remain human, not to give up mutual assistance. It’s nice to see good people supporting each other. In reality, there is no such friendship. Or is it? How do you relate to others, do you have enough courage and kindness, do you notice not only yourself - it seems to me that this ultra-modern, but at the same time, as if existing timeless film addresses us with this message.
I highly recommend watching. Everyone.
