A Story of Youth and Love The film is about a love that does not fade even after many years. Another variation on the theme of romantic relationships in the school walls. Warmth, summer, modest high school student and bully with obvious problems in mathematics. Probably, fans of such films will be delighted, but the creation of Yasuo Hasegawa does not bring anything new to this topic. This is one of the main drawbacks of the film. Old tricks, well-known moves since the days of "From me to you", plus many, albeit very funny, but still vulgar scenes. This is an ending that deserves special attention.
The situation is saved by the excellent performance of the two main actors. Yuki Yamada played the role of high school student Kosuke Mizushima: a simpleton, a little naive, obviously carefree and not serious. Had he been a little more assertive and confident, history could have turned out differently. But it makes her look more alive. During his short career, Yamada already has an impressive list of works, many of which are very similar to this film. Take, for example, the previously watched “Scream to nowhere”, “Wolf and the Black Prince”, “Blinded by you”, “I thought that there was no fateful love”, “Rainbow Days”, etc. With this film, he discovered a new actress Asuka Saito. I think she has a great future ahead of her. I will definitely be following her work.
“You Are the Most Precious Thing I Have” is a remake of the 2011 autobiographical film by Taiwanese director and writer Giddens Koh. Then the film set a record box office in the country, and two years later aroused great interest in Japan. Unsurprisingly, the Land of the Rising Sun decided to create its own version of history, however, Yasuo Hasegawa could not be justified to the same extent. Nevertheless, this film can become a good next story in an endless series of films about difficult school love - with its already established cliches and cliches. You can enjoy your free time.
