There is such an emotion as 'smile of disappointment'. Beautiful June 2020 is the time of my summer session at quarantine, for some reason I gave a wonderful, happy energy for me personally, and it was in these June days that I accidentally stumbled across the expanses of YouTube to a video dedicated to the love of Katya and Ognev. After watching this video about the love of two beautiful young people, I thought it was a series of themes "Border". Taige novel, but this assumption was confirmed only by 20 percent (4 of the initial series), because at the beginning of the film the action took place really at the military outpost. I watched only the line Katya/Fire/Masha/Borya, glimpsing the line with the magnificent Aglaya (later explain why). I will begin my review of the series with the analysis of the main characters.
Fire is a very ambiguous and strong male character with stunning charisma, courageous texture and furious energy, despite the appearance of a cold and restrained character. How Batyrev plays with his eyes! You can either die or fly to heaven. As it was said in one series: “A single glance took the soul forever.” This man is a woman's death. The fact that Vadim is able to leave an indelible mark in women's hearts and grasp the heart for life, you believe unconditionally, so talented the actor conveyed the powerful charisma of his hero. But. If you omit all these charms, then as a person he is not very good, at least in some moments for sure. What he was engaged in robberies during his service, how he showed aggression towards the seemingly beloved woman Masha, and how he stole from his beloved daughter, instead of explaining everything to her, trying to return, saw how many wrong prejudices she has, how young and hot-tempered she was, it was necessary to calm her down, and not yell in her ear: “You are mine!” In addition, he was really to blame for her, but no, he was more proud. I liked the reverent and gentle attitude of the fire to his first love Katya. He respected her choice and, despite loving her madly, let her go and never allowed himself to shout at her. His honesty towards Irina was commendable. He didn't really promise her anything. A controversial but powerful character.
Masha Bogdanova is the second beloved of Vadim Ognev and part-time daughter of his first love Katya. Personally, I like the original Masha less than her mother Katya, even outwardly with dark hair and sharper facial features, she looked slightly worse than the beautiful Katya (the actress very convincingly played different heroines with great similarity in her face). Daring, rude and straightforward, emotional and bright Masha is also charming and unique, despite the fact that in her tandem with Fire there was more burning passion and incredible attraction than tenderness and deep love. A young girl with youthful maximalism and from birth a difficult character can be understood, because she first fell in love with her whole soul, and her lover became the source of so much trouble for her. Deeply traumatized and devoid of love, the already grown-up Masha began to impress me more. Even outwardly, with lighter hair, she became more beautiful than in her youth. I like that, unlike her mother, a girl fights for her love, realizing her mistakes, she is ready to fly for her beloved man and daughter even to the ends of the world, she is sincere in her intentions and does not try to be someone she is not.
Katya Bogdanova is a gentle, soft and airy, feminine and beautiful girl who with her charms can really turn the head of such a harsh man as Fire. Together they look great, because it is so beautiful when two such opposites come together in a whirlwind of love and passion. It seemed to me that Ognev’s feelings for Katya were more trembling, deep and tender than for Masha, and I liked them more. It's a pity their couples were so few. The act of Katya, when she refused Ognev, despite true love for him, I can regard as decency and at the same time unwillingness to fight for a relationship with her beloved, because Masha, unlike her mother, could not refuse Ognev and went to him, sweeping away all obstacles.
Irina Sergeevna is a former mistress of Ogneva and a rival of Katya / Masha. Actress Irina Efremova perfectly conveyed the dual nature of this terrible woman - a kind teacher in the grandfather's house and a cold-blooded killer because of jealousy. There are people like that in real life, and that makes it scary. There are fatal men who evoke such strong feelings in their hearts that they turn women into monsters who find it easier to kill another than to part with the object of this terrible feeling - addiction. Yeah, not love, but addiction. Irina was so raving about the Fire that she was ready to make him miserable and kill an entire family with a child! When you love, you try to give your loved one happiness, even if you have to let go, which is what Fire did to Katya. Irina knew that depriving Vadim Katya, she would make him unhappy and all for the sake of her love. Then this monster was brought up in the grandfather's house Masha, who accidentally could not kill. Naturally, against the background of humiliating and crawling on her lap Irina, young with fresh Katya incomparably won.
Having finished with the characters, I wanted to notice how beautiful and unique the style of the series is combined with multifaceted dramatic and romantic music! I've never seen this in any other series, Bayrak is a genius. What beautiful and sensual scenes between the characters (the first meeting of Katya and Fire, their farewell behind the glass, the rainy sky of Masha and Vadim, the reunion of lovers in the soul). The twisted plot, the masterful work of the actors, everything is excellent.
