Banks & nbsp; they are like people... They also have a destiny. The director of the series Christian Shvokhov does not bother with special explanations, so I will allow myself - without revealing inner intrigues - to structure the characters: this will make it easier to understand what is happening. So, at the zero level of facilities there are two banks: Luxembourg Credit Investment Bank (often referred to by the first letters SI - CI) and Frankfurt German Investment Bank. Another (side) facility is the city of Leipzig and its 2025 reconstruction program, which will be a tidbit for investment; the program is promoted by the mayor of Leipzig, who is seriously ill: it is, in fact, his suicide case, which he would like to launch to remain in the memory of grateful citizens.
On the first level of heroes - ' office plankton' (in a good sense): brokers, analysts, lawyers, accountants - the main character of Jan Likam, her partner and head in the Luxembourg bank Luke Jacobi (aka the son of the head of the bank Tis Jacobi); in the Frankfurt bank - Adam Paul, Tao Hong. At the next level - operational management of banks: Luxembourg - Christel LeBlanc, Frankfurt - Gabriel Fenger. The next level - managers, senior managers, owners: in Luxembourg - all the same Tis Jacobi, in Frankfurt am Main - Quirin Zudov and Robert Cano.
The beginning of the intrigue: Yana Likam shows a little more initiative than her direct supervisor Luc Jacobi (Jana is ambitious, self-confident, unmanageable) - and she is fired from the bank. Christelle LeBlanc offers her a job at the Frankfurt German Investment Bank, with Gabriel Fenger - which is what happens. In fact, this is the plot of intrigue: it remains only to observe.
At the level of banks, there is a desire to merge them. In order to show good reporting, the German Investment Company dumps its toxic assets into its own subsidiary in Manama, Bahrain, which is, in principle, a criminal offence. Now the intrigue is already twisting at the level of financial control and at the level of the German Finance Minister.
The series is quite dense, it is sometimes difficult to delve into the essence of what is happening - so I tried to describe the main characters. It is clear that the writers and the director are well represented by the lower level of bank (investment) employees, worse than the middle level of management (Fenger and LeBlanc), very poorly the highest level of management: it is not quite clear what they are doing, except intrigues ... although, perhaps, this is close to reality, judging by the number of bankruptcies & #39; large & #39; banks. Interestingly, large banks will be saved by the state at the expense of citizens, of course: the damage from their natural closure due to bankruptcy is too great.
Here is such a rather complex plot, in which there are many unexpected turns, intrigues, discoveries and insights. But this is beyond the review - I do not want to spoil.
By the way, very interesting views of Frankfurt am Main.
So I recommend watching the category 'smart' (complex) series - this is above average. My score is 8 (which is the same as IMDB).
Yes, it remains to add that the series has been extended for a second season: the characters are promoted, understandable, interest in their further actions is obvious.
