The series is divided into 2 parts:

1. History of Dora, late 40s-60s (first 8 episodes);
2. The story of the descendants of Dora: daughters, granddaughters and great-granddaughters, 70-nil (the remaining 8 episodes).
I am closer and more interested in part 1, so I pay special attention to it.
Dora (or Valentina) is the main character with psychic abilities (these were previously called witches). The viewer is not presented with information about her past, about her childhood, which reinforces the image of the heroine with mystery. At some point in her life, we just meet her. Like Grinev.
Grinev is a state security officer and a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Complicated and heavy man. Nothing is known about his past, which could explain certain traits of character, given the actions of the series in the post-war years. However, it is not without its positive features.

Daughter, granddaughter and great-granddaughter are three more heroines, continuing the line of Dora, with different fates and consequences from the inheritance in the form of a gift. The story of the daughter (Lidochka) is told throughout all 16 episodes, partly this is the point of contact with all the main characters.

A separate place should be given to the Dolnikovs, who show that parents can become and not by blood. Yes, Nadia here loses to Leonid, but: 1. the child is special, 2. the native mother is somewhere near or far away.
So, the advantages can be attributed to the unusualness of the plot, the design of living quarters and the elaboration of costumes, the acting of E. Podkaminskaya, K. Safonov, M. Timofeeva, E. Lebedev.

To the disadvantages: protractedness (it was possible to stop at 8 episodes or compress the plot), mismatch of the age of actors and heroes, the illogicality of a number of actions of the characters.

I started watching the film because of the #39 security agencies & #39; in the description, I thought it was a film about intelligence officers and spies. Turns out not. However, watching the first series becomes interesting, and what next? In general, the plot is addictive.

1. In the series, the state security agencies are shown in the person of a single character who puts his own ambitions and desires above the interests of the country. This has happened and is common in everyday life.

2. A smart woman is not born, but becomes a result of life experience gained over the years. The same goes for men. People are born either evil, or good, or cunning, or simple-minded, but not smart.

3. Psychic does not see his future, he can feel danger in the present and in the film it is perfectly shown.
4. About parents - Mother hysterical, father deer. Is there anything like that in life?

5. I liked the acting. Very natural and natural.

6. The characters of the film are bright and convex. You fall in love with them. Their behavior and reactions are appropriate and logical, and because of this, the film is interesting.
Is this a good movie or a bad movie? Let's look a little wider. Ask yourself, why do you need art at all? What's his goal? The answer is obvious – to get pleasure in the form of emotions and experiences that the viewer lacks in everyday life. Someone wants to watch comedies, someone wants to watch drama, someone enjoys the fact that the movie makes him think or shows life from a different angle and the person opens up new facets of perception, and someone wants to experience empathy, for a few hours immersed in the area of feelings of the character, go with him ' fire, water and copper pipes' and in the end come out the winner, and it is very inspiring, and this film is just like that. And it does not matter that such a plot was not in the real story, the emotions received by the viewer are important. If so, the main goal of the filmmakers is achieved.

Very rare on our TV such interesting pictures ... and in vain. Last time, about 10 years ago, there was a similar series ' Wolf Messing'.

'Others' is a series that makes you think. Which shows that ability isn't like that, so you push the button and it's done. Rather, it is rather fragile and unstable ' tool ' as in general, the person himself, who can disappear, fail at the most inopportune moment, and does not give answers to all questions. That ability is possible and necessary, but not the main thing in life. Much more important is inner wisdom and a sober view of things.
Playing all the actors at the top, perfectly played theme ' loss'. Separately, I would like to highlight Elena Podkaminskaya, Martha Timofeev, Svetlana Smirnov-Martsinkevich (yes)

A huge thank you to the director and writers for surviving all the series on ' One Wave', did not slide into action and pathos. The change of times, the atmosphere in each period of the country is well shown. Not the last role in this was played by documentary inserts. And in general, a lot of ' trifles ' on which it is clear that a great and high-quality work has been done.
The only drawback - too sharply and quickly removed Valya (Helena Podkaminskaya). Well, perhaps, the excessive cruelty and shortsightedness of the GeBashnikovs shown (which could well have been in those years) But they certainly don't. Judging by the successes, the special services and psychics are now friends I hope.

This series is the fruit of the sick fantasies of the director and screenwriter. This is a good example of how not to shoot. It should be shown to young directors and screenwriters so that they know what happens - when you skip classes at university and do not learn material.
About Plot:

There is a woman psychic, they want to hire her in the state security agencies - but she refuses for some unknown reason. The state security agencies are naturally (for Russian TV) shown as bloody executioners, scoundrels and scoundrels - and for this reason they put her in prison, and her young daughter is given to an orphanage.
Years pass and the woman is released. And she naturally goes looking for her child, who has already been adopted by other parents.

But the problem is that the daughter also has a special gift and this causes great anxiety to both her parents and everyone around.
Cons of the film:

1) If the state security agencies want to take this woman with them, why put her in prison? How does that help bring her to their side? It will only make her angry, physically and mentally exhausted. After that, any conversations and assurances will not help. Not only that – it will take revenge on this structure and its individual representatives with all its might.
The invaluable help that it could bring to the state will be missed if you act in this way.

2) If she is an intelligent woman and also a psychic, then she should have known and understood that telling everyone about her strength is not worth it.
(3) If she is a psychic, why did she not foresee the consequences of her actions?
(4) The new parents of the girl are simply terrible, it is impossible to look at them for a long time. Hysterical mother who has obvious problems with the head and heeled father.
The father knows that the girl has superpowers - but whenever she warns about something, he fluffs her eyes and does not understand what she is talking about. Heaps of people perish because of his impenetrable stupidity. Why is he doing this?

(5) Acting is terrifying. There are always only 2 states of actors - either hysterics or monotonous reading of the memorized text.
(6) The characters of the film are quite flat and cardboard. They do not cause any positive emotions, their behavior is too stupid and ridiculous - to somehow sympathize with them.
The viewer always sympathizes with the characters he wants to be like - but in this film all the characters are dull, stupid, ridiculous and one-sided.
They can be described in one, maxim in two words. No half shadows, half hints and shades. Everything is simple and cheap.

Conclusion: You should not waste time on this product.
