Love again The movie is one of those that can be called whatever you want: the name will fade from memory anyway. I had to re-read it after watching it because in the first half hour I forgot what I was looking at. It's about love. And this is a classic Turkish film about love, so someone will be dying, and tears are inevitable.
I watched 3-4 famous Turkish melodramas, and it was enough to know how this one would turn out. One twist seemed to migrate from the more touching "Only You," which only added skepticism instead of more drama. The film is nothing new: there is a standard love, a standard main plot with wish fulfillment and a standard conclusion. The life of the heroes, especially the Emir, is sketched in haste, simple strokes. "Stay with Me" is a very simple movie, even an ordinary one. It looks easy, without strain, but I did not plunge into history. Because, I repeat, all this has seen anyone who has watched a couple of Turkish melodramas.
But I don't want to criticize. The film does not seek to be a masterpiece, but only tells a story. No one claims anything. Yes, the actors have nothing to play here, and the characters are not very imbued. Yes, the pair of Chaglar Ertugrul and Merich Aral are never chemical, and if you believe in love, then definitely not in the most-most. But they're cute. Heroes are nice guys who, of course, fell in love quickly, beautifully and without question. Nice scenes are present, there is a bit of comedy, sadness by default in the set - what else do you need from melodrama?
Unfortunately, in “Stay with me” there is almost nothing really catchy that would be remembered longer than an hour, but for a one-time cozy viewing it is quite suitable. In view of the secondary, the excessive naivety of the movie is not the most tearful (I let a tear only on the story of the Emir by the tree), so the depressed mood does not threaten the viewer. A couple of minutes of sadness, but the movie is bright, and most of it works to make you smile. Just a little bit.
