Worse than war. . . Someone should watch bad movies to write their opinion and warn others against wasting time watching bad movies. I warn you, this film is very clumsy and bad. Despite the topic of kidnapping children for sale into sexual slavery or simply to provide sex services... Same ' Hostage' Pierre Morel plays on this field more effectively.
Well, of course, you say, the budget, the producer and the dashing names of the actors do their job. So what? Why do you make a movie that is doomed to failure? Do they look at everything that the creators have done? I'm not sure.
What do we got? There is ' standardized' Marine with syndrome ' past the terrible war' in Iraq - a girl Jessica with flashbacks about child suicide bombers. There's her kidnapped sister Aimee. There is a friend-co-worker Dan, who will be in every possible way to support his combat girlfriend and the plot. Kidnapped, we need to find, the police are inactive, and so on.
What's wrong with us? Flashbacks - immediately cut and burn... Just horror / horror, as played, it would be better if she (Marine) was a drug addict or just a seizure, falling into a stupor in extreme situations. There are terrible bandos, just disgusting in terms of ' mannequins' for the plot. There is a completely stupid grandfather (just a background Persian) and a grandmother (who shook at Dan with a Taser and took a freeze for locks for a keyboard cleaner - ' Oh, I lived with three generations of Marines, but I could not get used to it'... what?), to a heap of all sorts of unnecessary plot bodies (pimp, his ward, 'Mama' in the desired brothel)... In general, the writers tried to hire as much staff as possible so that they waited for timekeeping.
We know Jessica's going to get her way -- it's not even a spoiler, we're all waiting for it, we're just waiting for her to use all her Marine art to -- well, that's clear. In general, all this is boring, sluggish and with a huge inflated false tension.
Is it bad? Nope. Almost all the abducted children played well (here, we must pay tribute to the sadistic, rude and tragic atmosphere the creators made qualitatively). One of the 'clients' straight casting was probably... It was awful and horrible, but the man was playing. How it all ends, we understand perfectly well - we are interested in the details of restoring justice, but they, unfortunately, are not interesting cinematically at all.
P.S.: In the end, we decided to make some interesting move, but it’s so... more for a change, so that it wasn’t completely banal. By the way, one of the Jessica flashbacks scrolls through almost the entire film (why, director, why?)... in front of one of the ' main & #39; moments ... you can watch only him - you will not lose much.
