The story of pro karma. Korean version of the popular genre of mystical thriller. From the very beginning, the picture fascinates. The road, the mystical part. Nothing is clear.
But in 15 minutes, it's clear. The main character after the accident gets into a strange family, where he is not given a phone to call. If you think this is the Korean version of “Turn the wrong way”, then you are mistaken. The family is much stranger. The hero can not get out of the village about as the hero of Kuravlev in the film “Viy” could not escape from the village, and then woke up gray.
The overall humanistic message of the film is also good. The escalation of the situation goes like notes, although everyone guesses everything, except, perhaps, the main character. There is even a sinister eroticism, and it is really frightening.
The denouement is made quite clumsy, or, say, elegant. It is a pity that at the beginning of the film we do not show the background of the hero even briefly.
In general, this is a Korean version of the genre, which was tested by Shabrol in the 70s of the 20th century. It is enough to look at the list of recommended films to understand what the film is about. There's no spoiler next. The atmosphere is present, moralizing is also rare in this genre.
Koreans master related genres after zombie-movie and superhero cinema.
There is also a classic “Korean” scene with the throat being cut and a bunch of fake blood.
There are no famous actors, mostly serial ones. It is not clear how the hero of the film should look like a fatal handsome man or a brutal punching manager. In this case, he looks like an ordinary clerk.
