All religions of India - unite. Ugh, it's been a hectic week, so much stuff just piled up, barely managed to handle it. I watched the movie, but I had no time to write. Finally, the day off, more or less settled down, immediately sat down to write.
I watched this film yesterday, for the first time, according to the filmography of Javed Jeffrey (he was recorded in my list as a film Javed), except for him, I do not know other actors, I saw all for the first time, so I can not say anything about their game. Javed played a father, the main character, such a proud and irreconcilable Sikh, played chic, well done. I loved the whole movie.
The main character liked, although the face is not particularly visible, with a beard, and even in a turban. But his smile is pretty. The main character (Mary), although not beautiful, but very charming, like a doll with huge eyes. They looked pretty good together.
Lovers from different religious backgrounds, this was also seen before, of course, but usually there were Hindus and Muslims, and here Sikhs and Christians, but also quite original shows.
The description is not here, so I will briefly describe the essence of the film. The father of the main character, Mary, has four daughters, and none of them he managed to marry at his own request, all of them chose their own husbands. They are Catholic Christians, and the names of all Christian, the older sister Gina, chose an Orthodox Christian as her husband, not belonging to the community in which her family lived; the second sister Sophia, married a Muslim, and began to wear a headscarf and hijab; the third sister Anna, became the wife of an Hindu, and even an active member of the communist movement, who is simply obsessed with the idea of equality and justice and even calls her own wife. She joined the movement herself and is now an ardent communist. All three sons-in-law do not communicate with each other, each considers his religion superior to the others, and they cannot tolerate each other. But the sisters maintain warm relations with each other, and all Christian religious holidays are celebrated together with their parents (Christmas, Easter). And husbands have to come with them to the house of their father-in-law and mother-in-law and sit at the common table. These are the moments that bring the whole family together.
So it was my younger sister's turn, Mary, to get married. Since childhood, she adores her father, and decided to marry his choice, because a father would not choose a bad husband for his beloved daughter. And now everything is almost ready, soon the groom and his parents will come to the church, and then His Majesty the Case intervenes, who sends into the life of Mary, a young Sikh, with whom she falls in love. Rudd also falls in love with Mary, and of course now everything is not going according to plan, now the bridegroom chosen by the father does not please the girl. Parents don’t mind their wedding, but everyone has a condition. In order for Rudd to marry Mary, he must convert to Christianity and the wedding must follow Christian customs. And parents Radda, on the contrary, want Mary to become a Sikh, and that the wedding was held according to Punjabi (Sikh) customs. And the whole conflict is built on religious grounds. And how young lovers get out and solve this problem, of course, it is necessary to watch. They chose an interesting way.
A very good film industry Malayalam. I liked it. Of course, the plot is not new, and there are many clichés that have long been familiar and seen before, but something about it interested me. Good voice acting, and even the songs are voiced and translated, the original text of the songs is almost not audible, so what is their motive and words, I can not say, everything is covered with voice translation.
In general, the film itself is cheerful, colorful, I think it can be attributed to the genre of comedy. There is no special meaning in it, the same conflict between the families of lovers as always, the same struggle for their love, the same tense relationship between parents and children, but it was pleasant to watch. It is quite possible to spend an evening watching this easy, funny story, without straining your brain and completely relaxing. For one-time viewing, especially fans of Malayalam cinema is quite suitable
