Revenge? Again? This film is a classic western, which describes the life of a refectory town in the wild west. With violence, shooting, sex, etc. The intrigue of the film is different: what you are capable of for the sake of your dreams, passions and ambitions and who you can sacrifice. The son will sacrifice his father for his base passions, or the father will choose between the law or the son. There are a lot of questions in the picture.
The film begins quite sharply, as if from place to quarry. You don't have time to figure out who is who, how things went. This picture does not spoil, there is a feeling that because of such a rapid beginning there will be no time for numerous experiences and boring conversations. No, I got it. After the beginning of the action had to wait 30 minutes. And before that, there were instructive conversations and instructions. And I won’t say that everything was bad with the script, but I would like a more lively action.
John Fu is a very strong fighter, which he demonstrated in both Rebirth and Tekken. Here, his character was not such a big fight. No, he showed his skills by waving his legs and arms a little, but the constant acts in the dark spoiled it. All the interesting events took place after sunset and a lot was just difficult to understand. The quality of the film is at a rather mediocre level. The level of production of combat scenes is also not the highest, which is a pity, because when you have a fighter like John Fu at your disposal on the set, you need to use this. But he was not really allowed to show his fighting skills.
The plot is based on a banal theme - revenge. Such a movie is seen and seen, both good and bad. This is my third consecutive review of this film. It’s just not enough to take a battered popular plot and concoct a film, you need to bring some of your own features to the film than to lure the viewer. In principle, here the creators can lure place and time action, namely the Wild West. But this is not enough and everything else resembles a medium-sized action movie, mixing conversational fragments with the vengeful actions of the main character, quite charismatic resulting from John Fu. In addition to him, by the way, the film was attended by Shawn Patrick Flanari and Danny Trejo, the king of three films. However, his role here was limited to two speeches, very, very short. Also in the picture appeared Nelly Tsai, among other things, a native of St. Petersburg.
Bottom line - the film could have been a very high-quality western, but instead it made a mediocre movie. The potential of the tape was serious. About whether or not to look at the amateur. Perhaps someone will do it anyway, but I think it was a bit weak.
