It doesn't matter where you are. I'll find you. We'll meet again. If you liked the drama Prince from the attic, then watch this one, with a high probability it will also like. Despite the fact that the plot is completely different, these two dramas are united not only by the theme of the emperor, but also by some plot moves.
' The Emperors and I' is not the best of the dramas I have seen, but the response in my soul and tears in my eyes caused, and therefore worth watching and recommending.
Since the description is not yet available, I will write here one of its shortest variations:
': The story of an ordinary college student, Lo Si, who loves to read historical novels, and about three emperors of different dynasties, who by chance fall into the modern era. '
This is a naive and implausible story about a funny, funny, kind and naive fantasy girl (I really liked the actress), who often has strange dreams. At one point there is an accident, during which he and his girlfriend are transported to the past - to the kingdom of Qi (apparently, the prototype of the emperor of the Qi kingdom was Qin Shi Huang, who founded the kingdom of Qin), from where Luo Xi returns now, taking the imperial trophy - the emperor himself.
I liked Emperor Qin Shang: a strong, straight, impulsive man with a strong character, a clear awareness of his importance and a pronounced life position. How delightful it was to watch him develop his feelings for Lo Ci, and his transformation from a powerful warrior to a modern, loving man! It was not without funny moments. This is probably my favorite male character in this drama. Their duet with Lo Si caused a smile, tenderness and pleasant chills. In my opinion, the couple turned out to be very organic: a gentle, touching and so strong-minded girl and a courageous, strong and sensual man. Different times and worlds, different characters and aspirations, and a truly painful choice between duty and feelings. Their pain and love I seemed to feel every cell of my soul!
You are our Queen!
In a similar way, Losi captured two more emperors from different eras.
Husband Yu is the main intriguer of the drama, but at the same time a talented and very not stupid man who can turn any situation in his favor. It's not gonna go anywhere. His selfish love for LOSI didn’t affect me, because I don’t think the actor showed any real emotional play. I didn't finish it, but I'm sorry.
Go Yan (the second character I love) is a smart man and a wonderful friend. Although at the very beginning of the acquaintance seemed even more cunning and calculating than Muzhun Yu. I think I felt sorry for him the most.
Three different emperors, three different eras, different expectations and aspirations, characters and deeds, feelings and emotions. What is the connection between these three and Lo Si?
Have you ever wondered why only the three of you got here?
- Why the three of us? Is there a connection between us? A fool, a trophy and a wise man.
- Who knows? Fool, five minutes dead and handsome...
Did you mean trophy, five minutes dead and kung fu master?
The mystery of these three will be revealed in the last series, but all questions will not be removed. But the drama will well illustrate another - the character of a person depends more on the situation and environment.
I can’t help but mention Lo Si’s friend, Dr. Hae Mo – a wand-rescue for all the fellas and a strong shoulder for Lo Si.
And, perhaps, the main mystery of the drama is the friend of Lo Si Le Xue. It is around her return from the Qi kingdom that a central storyline is built. And until the last series, the intrigue remains, why the seemingly positive character blows cold, and her face ceased to express any emotions. Is she a friend or an enemy?
Secondary characters: naive and complex Fe Yan, envious Jingjing, caring Ms. Zhao and others also coped with the tasks, helped the main characters to reveal themselves better, and make the story more holistic.
In conclusion, I will add that I watched the drama with subtitles from Scorpions (well, I could not master it with existing voiceovers), cheered the phrase at the very end of the final series: ' Thank you for laughing, weeping and cursed the damn Chinese for this end along with the Scorpions'.
On the one hand, the end is logical, especially considering that the story does not tolerate a subjunctive mood, but sad.
On the other hand, you want a real fairy tale in the final, such that the heart trembles even more. And although the screenwriters tried to put an ellipsis that reminded (not the plot, but the feeling) of the favorite drama & #39;Scarlet Heart Coret', but personally I do not want to fantasize. I want to know for sure. The second season is promised.
My score is 8 out of 10 for a slightly jumpy plot and some roughness in acting. But overall, I'm happy. I will revisit it again, especially if it continues.
