: Can corruption be defeated? Russian crime thriller (16 episodes). The film tells about the dispassionate and uncompromising investigator Alexei, who is tasked with uncovering corrupt individuals in power and the investigative committee of the fictional regional center of Pereslavl. The story begins with the fact that a businessman with a criminal past and present calls Alexei and asks him to come to his house to share with him the dirt on the main businessman of the city. The investigator promises to be in an hour, but arriving at the caller, he finds his corpse.
It is clear that Alexei will be hindered in every possible way, using various methods - intimidation and direct threats, pressure from the authorities and removal from the leadership of the investigation, but the indomitable fighter for justice will continue his investigation.
Despite the fact that all the main criminal figures are almost immediately identified, a considerable amount of intrigue persists until the last series. Despite some naivety of the film, in general it looks easy and with interest.
