He is a maniac and in Vietnam a maniac. A village, an atmosphere of primitiveness and ignorance. People mostly live there simple, kind and naive. And a certain "Grey" arrives on a large boat, a sweet "Assol" immediately falls in love with him. And all the inhabitants are amazed by his wonderful gift of healing. Grey and Assol get married, and then everything goes wrong.
In this film there are horrors, there are elements of black magic, as well as a real maniac. The film is very atmospheric. After a few minutes, it’s as if you’re not sitting there looking at the screen, but as if you’re a poor, scared, dumb girl who’s rushing around the village and doesn’t know what to do. I want to scream to somehow help her. an hour and a half pass quickly, from viewing I do not want to break away.
The film is a bit naive, if you moved it to a modern city, it could look and run. But in an urban environment, there would be no end where everyone is for himself. And it could have ended much worse.
