Despite his categorically negative attitude towards Russian TV series (of which only 146% are talentless, the rest can be watched), he ventured to see another creation about Russian law enforcement agencies. I will say right away, surprisingly, the series was not at all bad and the 1st season is worth watching.
What are my complaints about domestic TV series? (1) Black people, when everything is bad, there is no gap, crime, corruption, endless drunkenness, beating of wives, children, etc. (2) It is unrealistic when people have dialogues that do not happen to life, and from which just blood from the ears, when people have unrealistic relationships, unrealistic work, salary, amount of free time, when everything looks like the ravings of an alcoholic. (3) When the characters are not white or black, but necessarily gray, such as when a good cop sometimes takes bribes - this gives realism.
There is nothing like that in this series. GG Bragin is an investigator, an exemplary officer from SledCom, intelligent, competent, morally stable, serious and cold-blooded at work, likes to bring the case to the end, for the sake of the case is ready to aggravate relations with the authorities, is not ready to put up with inconsistencies in versions and dwell on obvious conclusions. If a person is innocent, he works to find the real criminal, which is why he regularly gets whipped by his superiors "We are not a law firm here." It doesn't take bribes or thanks. A wonderful family man, a loyal friend. A little spoils the ideal picture only the lack of free time, when the duties of looking after the younger sister are assigned to the eldest son, because parents often stay at work and because of what they often have small conflicts.
The investigations themselves are partly taken from high-profile news, but this is not an attempt to make a documentary detective, but an artistic narrative. The motives of the criminals are often not clear until the end of the investigation, the investigator knows how to examine the crime scene, and pay attention to important details, and build a conversation with a person so that he tells the truth. Here Bragin does not look at titles or positions, can summon anyone for questioning, provokes and finds the truth, establishes facts and guilt. The series looks as serious and truthful as possible, there are no unnecessary snot, no pianos in the bushes, there is a serious and systematic work of professionals. Although the series does not pretend to be a procedural, everything looks as plausible on the screen as possible.
There is GG best friend - opera Shibanov, who spoils the picture a little (overworked screenwriters with realism) - he can not a day without vodka (although drunk he does not stagger, but drives regularly sits), he eats exclusively shaverma (like a turtle-ninja, but not pizza), womanizer, but his relationship with women is very childish - naughty and hide. Despite the described shortcomings, he knows the job, operative information gets, agents report, surveillance works, and he regularly saves people (and shoots his own cops).
But all this relates to the first season, further worse, GG more dogged with his wife, and his friend fools the heads of endless mistresses, enter a tearful line with the disease of the chief of GG (made extremely realistic, sensual, but completely superfluous in the series), the bandits become frostbitten, and their motives are more insane and even maniac. In the third season, there is a “wrong turn”: reality disappears, a super-villain appears as in the comics, GG achieves idyllic relations with his wife, and Shibanov falls in love at all and acts like an idiot. Stop, cut. No, don't do that, just like this: Stop, Sleeto.
From delight to the desire to kill myself against the wall
I want to make a reservation right away that I cannot be objective about this series, so I will not evaluate it. I'll just share my impressions.
I was looking forward to the third season more than a quarterly awards, because the interaction of the two main characters bought me with guts. It's a perfectly shown friendship. And it is not romanticized to complete fantasy, not divorced from reality. Each of the heroes has his own life, someone has a family, they do not follow each other on their heels. But at the same time they are very attached to each other, understand from half a word and just get excited about the existence of each other. They are so proud of each other, so respectful of each other, support each other. It's just amazing. And the secondary characters are mostly good.
However, the disadvantages of the series was always enough, for example, it is clear that the through arch of the second season was glued to the knee, the plots are often not very convincing, they have a lot of inconsistencies... But it all paid off with more than the main characters. So bright, unlike each other, but very characteristic and not changing themselves.
But by the end of the third season, everything merged into FIG. The character of one of the GG just bent on FIG in favor of unknown where and why took the love line. Everything that he broadcast two and a half seasons is fucked up "for the sake of great love", the brave reckless Shibanov suddenly realized that he could not risk his life, because suddenly he would be killed and he would not see his beloved half again. It was just sickening. I am not against love lines, I am against them being taken from the ceiling and crippling characters. What happens, I don’t even want to remember. I will try to watch Season 4 when it comes out, but I don’t have much hope. I am very sad because it was one of my favorite shows.
Standard in its format NTV-sh series, but very high quality and richly filmed.
I loved it because of the two main characters. The plots, although very realistically shot, can be seen with knowledge ' of the investigation ' but in general, for me, subjectively - the series would not be of interest if not for two charismatic actors. Kolesnikov and Zharkov, Bragin and Shibanov respectively. The first perfect investigator, so perfect that his colleagues call him a lawyer. So much ' is included ' in business, and does not turn off that until it comes to the essence of the matter, will not calm down. There is no home, the family does not see it for days, all for the good of work. I like the actor Kolesnikov, too, since the days of Drummy 'Students'. It’s not just the girls who like it. But his hero, in fact, I want to criticize. He's such a great follower, such a bad father and husband... and a human being. I'll explain. At home, as the series shows us, their relationship with his wife and two children is strained. The family understands him, but as a spectator I see the negative. Bragin is ambitious, respects his family, but he's a careerist. The wife makes justified remarks to him, and he always!, in each series, instead of answering for his actions, throws arrows at her. It's always her fault. Like, what is it? What is the New Year series, where his wife went on a business trip, and asked people to be with the children. As always, he could not, and threw reproaches to his wife. And so in every episode. In every one!
With kids, relationships too... It seems that we show Bragin as a normal father, which every morning drives the children to school, but how many complaints he has against them! No less than to his wife. 'Not small, you will get out of school by yourself' and all that. It oozes through every episode, and we're shown how work goes against family life. It's impossible for a hero! I'm surprised he even got a wife and two children. But for me as a viewer, all twenty episodes were quite negative to see. As a man, he's so stuffy. His relationship with Shibanov. It seems that the director shows us friends, but there is no chemistry between them, and Zharkov tries after all. He just shows that Bragin is his friend, comrade, every second series, if he does not save him, then at least he runs through it, and he has a problem. This person does not appreciate anyone and nothing in short. No family, no friends. But the pooch is great! Yeah.
Shibanov is a simple, quick, charismatic opera. It's a worn-out image, but one hundred percent. Well, like Tomin from 'The investigation is conducted by experts' well, Bragin, respectively, Pal Palych. Roasters are good. Began to watch the series because of Kolesnikov, but disappointed in his character – continued because of Zharkov.
Two more characters are worth noting. Ukhvatov is such a small, worthless person who wants to annoy colleagues and serve his superiors. It is disgusting, but the actor Razbash played well, causes emotions. And the fourth character I want to highlight is Maltsev, the head of their entire department. In a nutshell, I liked his personal branch, about his illness and the actor is good.
Summarizing my emotions, I repeat - a standard NTV series for six, for prime time, but stretched out with excellent shooting, staging, and straight super-played actors who add +2 to this six.

A terrible series from the first to the last credits.
1. The main character is an employee of an artificially created structure - the Investigative Committee.
2. The uniform of employees and employees is a fake parody of the best examples of Soviet uniforms: sea kittens and post-war police uniforms. This is not a problem of the series - it is rather the product placement of the IC of the Russian Federation in the series.
3. All male characters are beggars or criminals: they are either kept by wives or theirs ' not caught ' police and encouraged by the pyramid of power led by the president.
4. Cases are not investigated, but are revealed intuitively, since the main ' Nehero' allegedly knows ' Jambs' mode zeroed.
5. Law enforcement officers are constantly, throughout the series, put in jail and constantly released under subscription. But from the organs - no-no!
6. A woman with an education can not find a job without... Well, here or parents or 'bed '.
I want to write a couple of good lines about the series, but I don’t even know what it is about.
Before the beginning of the viewing had no idea who Ivan Kolesnikov was, but he knew Andrei Tumarkin (as a screenwriter) on ' Nevsky' and Sergey Zharkov on other films, because of them he actually began to watch, although there were fears that this would be another ode to banditry and corrupt... everyone, but at the very first minutes I seemed to be reassured when the main character heard on the radio song ' Hope' asked to turn up. I could say I took it as a sign.
The plot, the script, the acting somehow immediately believe, and when I saw in the credits of gratitude to the Investigative Committee, in particular - Bastrykin - I immediately understood why.
In the film liked almost everything, except, in my opinion, spoiled line with the wife of the main character - it seems to have started well, but turned their relationship into beaten a hundred times ' for you the job is the main thing, you are not home'
Separately, I would like to note the performance of I. Kolesnikov's song ' Hope' - I really liked it, really - ' He also sings... I'll pay for it now '
To sum up, the series can and should be watched by all age categories, it sows reasonable, kind, eternal - which is what every film should do - this is its original purpose. And then you look with pride at law enforcement officers and realize that real people were, will be and are!
We made a new series, and you won’t believe it. . .
They shot ' Sherlock' in Russian.
Our Sherlock is called Yuri Bragin (nickname among his - 'Poirot'), an investigator of the GSU in St. Petersburg. He is played by Ivan Kolesnikov (Emperor Nix of the Union of Salvation & #39), thin, sculpted and with huge eyes, and Vanechka in his uniform is just a beauty. And he (and his hero, of course) plays the guitar perfectly and sings.
By the way, the uniform of the GSU investigator is very similar to the uniform of a senior policeman from the 50s, and reminds of the Third Branch of the E.I.V. Chancellery.
Sherlock has his own John, aka Misha Shibanov, a favorite opera, who understands him half-word. And it's a good John, not the one who kicks a friend in the stomach, no. Here he loves his Sherlock dearly and constantly saves, like a real princess. Here's John, mixed with Leistred.
Sherlock also has a senior comrade, Colonel Maltsev, with whom they have a warm, tender relationship, up to shake off the palette. Maltsev covers Sherlock-Yura from above, from his superiors and other outside colleagues, so he is more drawn to Mycroft.
According to the old Soviet habit, Sherlock and John were given families for some reason, and Yura even has two children (well, fuck?!!). Although thanks to the good forces, Yura’s wife does not hysteria or scream (at least at first), which is somewhat comforting.
The screenwriter here Andrey Tumarkin, an experienced master, worked in ' Streets of Broken Lanterns', then in his luggage ' Alien District' and (more importantly!) – 'Nevsky'. This investigator with the opera does not confuse, listening to conversations on the case is easy, pleasant and understandable.
The series turned out so kind soulful that I really want to see the heroes again. I really want a second season!!!
First Department: All top-notch investigators live and work in St. Petersburg
Having seen the trailer of the series on TV, I was already interested in the film: the scene, the characters, the locations of Peter, the actors. This encouraged me to watch the first series of the series. And I'm not wrong.
After watching the first 2 episodes, I realized that the series has a great bid for success.
First, actors and acting.
The main character is Yuri Bragin. The actor is Ivan Kolesnikov.
Yuri Bragin, after a year-long business trip, where he as part of the investigation team was investigating a high-profile case, returns to St. Petersburg. Returning, he learns that the current head of the First Investigation Department of the First Directorate of the GSU Vadim Maltsev is retiring. With a high degree of probability, Bragin will be offered his place. But Yuri is not a careerist and the place of the boss is not the goal of his life. A talented investigator likes to do “live work”. He is being sent on a business trip again. This time in one of the cities of the Leningrad region, where two girls were killed a week apart. Here, in a small town, everyone knows each other, and this complicates the search for a criminal.
Yuri Bragin is the male version of Maria Sergeyevna Shvetsova from the famous TV series 'Secrets of the Investigation'.
For them, working with people, promoting a case, searching for a real criminal, brainstorming is much more interesting than office intrigues and claiming a higher position. No, like all specialists, they would like to advance in their careers, but if they have to choose: a complex and confusing business or a new position, then they will definitely choose 1 option.
Bragina and Shvetsova like air need their work, without it they have ' the brain rusts' as Sherlock Holmes would say. They both realize at first glance that the case is not as clear as it may seem.
Another similarity of Shvetsova and Bragin is that they are workaholics so much that their home sometimes want to run a ladle in them. Their families have long come to terms with their workaholism and love them even for that. They're heroes in their work. They love their work and get high from it.
Actor Ivan Kolesnikov perfectly coped with his role. All his emotions, facial expressions fell exactly into the hero and made him even more whole and expressive. I have been familiar with the acting of Ivan Kolesnikov since the time of the series 'Institute of Noble Maidens'. He also played his part wonderfully there. And when I saw him in the lead role in the TV series ' Department One', I was even more convinced of the need to watch this series.
' He also sings. Now I will pay & #39; – said his colleague Misha Shibanov.
Indeed, the decision that Kolesnikov sang the song, added him to the hero of a certain charm.
Another hero of the series is Mikhail Shibanov. Actor - Sergey Zharkov.
Mikhail Shibanov - this hero, is a loyal friend and first assistant of Yuri Bragin. He has his own family history, but this only gives him strength in his work. A loyal friend and first class operative. Do your job honestly and to the end.
I also want to note the head of Yuri Bragin - Vadim Maltsev.
As in the Secrets of Investigation, the Chiefs are the most remarkable leaders. Everyone should have bosses like that. They trust their subordinates, they know that they will definitely figure out even in the most difficult case and bring the real criminals to the clean water.
Secondly, the locations and panoramas of Peter add a certain romanticity and aesthetics to the series.
Thirdly, for me, as a person who grew up on 'Secrets of the investigation' and dreamed of becoming an investigator, 'First Department' is a worthy candidate for continuing the story about the work of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and investigators of this department.
I would love to see the next seasons of this series. And, if the next seasons of this series are as coolly shot, it will be a really worthy replacement ' Mysteries of the investigation ' Or maybe these 2 series will be broadcast equally and will complement each other.
Time will tell.

This series completely met my expectations. I recommend everyone watch this series. I assure you, you will not regret the time spent and you will be captured by the plot from the first minutes of viewing.
