Modern studios are trying to make children (probably even those who have not yet learned how to walk, let alone what to say) dialogue geniuses, which can not be right. For the most part, you can see from their faces that they don’t even know what they’re talking about. Disney can do it beautifully and correctly. The film is about guys who don’t get smart and all the diologists are well-built. Very nice and easy looking. Parents really look so ridiculous in this movie. Awesome first season. Well done Disney!!!
The action revolves around an old hotel, which is associated with local legends about ghosts and the story of the disappearance of a girl in the 90s. These days, a couple of teenagers Griffin and Harper are being investigated. In the process, they manage to dig up much more interesting than the cause of the disappearance of a teenager.
The plot tastes like a milkshake from children’s horror stories by the fire, time travel with a sweet taste of first love and simple humor. The series is too naive for an adult audience, but quite a drinkable - watchable for 12+ teenagers who have not yet got hooked on sugary soda from Marvel.
It does not strain the exploitation of the topic of temporal collisions, as in 'Darkness' - without all that twisted family whirlpool of mysteries. The scriptwriters created extremely clear motivations of the characters, realistic relationships between relatives. And young actors easily and naturally embodied the idea. Look at Kylie Curran from Dr. Sleep and El Graham from Stranger Things. Not without adult support, of course. Josh Braathen, Deandra Lyle.
Dynamics in 25-minute series will continue for 2 seasons and planned 3rd.
In short, I recommend relaxing, not for you personally, but for your friends and relatives of school age.
By the way, from the funny: the names of the main characters are a reference to the creations of Rowling.

When returning to the city of childhood turns into a real adventure.
Do you want to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of fantasy and travel into the past? Then the series is mandatory to watch. We’ve all dreamed of traveling between the past and the future between the ages of 12 and 14, but someone did it before going to bed with a carpet hanging on the wall, and here the children travel with the help of a brilliant invention of a boy from the 30s and an old bunker.
The first season is devoted to one temporary bond, the second season is a deeper immersion to the roots of the family.
Basic values: friendship, family, attention, the value of the history of generations.
Mood: positive, mystical, adventure.
Aftertaste: You will feel at the most interesting age, which ended long ago. Expectation of a sequel and season 3.
Who to watch with: children + parents.
Actors, mood, atmosphere, beauty of the picture and an interesting plot, all this makes you immerse yourself for a couple of evenings in the amazing Mysteries of Selfer Springs.
A great series not only for children but also for adults.
A bright series in the gente of si-fi and mysticism. In general, urban fantasy and urban mysticism from directors Mary Lou Belli, Patricia Cardoso and others. Screenplay by Tacy Thomson.
The main characters are children, about twelve years old. Secondary - their younger brothers and sisters, as well as parents.
The main time of action takes place in two thousand and one year, but a decent part of the events is also attributed to previous years.
It all begins with the fact that the father of the family leaves work in the bustling city and, having bought an old hotel, transports the family in the composition: a son, twins and his wife to the hotel where he once spent his childhood. My son, as usual, is not happy to move first. But after meeting a classmate, everything changes because they find a bunker in the basement of the hotel. And this bunker holds secrets that kids never expected. They begin to unravel the tangle of intricate stories that the hotel holds and the past of their parents.
The film is roughly in the same category as 'Key Lokov' and 'Stranger Things' but much more dynamic. The events of the first series develop organically, not protracted, but enough to have time to penetrate and understand.
The merits, no doubt, include the script - in my opinion a great one, with hooks and guns that fire at the right moment. The chain of events is unfolding very well. There are no weaknesses.

A great series that quickly captivates and keeps constantly, not allowing to be distracted by extraneous matters. Good suspense, great directing, colorful shooting. Good camera work. The series was so fascinating that I watched the whole first season for a day and I highly recommend it to all fans of the genre.
Problems of families, friendship and adventure in scientific and mystical scenery.
Very cool series for family and even joint viewing. Or for adults who want mysticism, but without screamers and rivers of blood. Definitely suitable for those who love mysticism, detectives, fiction. Wise and deep thoughts about what a normal childhood should be like, how children are drawn to their parents, how important a connection is for us with the past of the country, with the past of our family. The problems typical for families and, importantly, positive ways to solve them are shown. You can talk to your family!
And adventure! Real adventures, a test of friendship for strength, discoveries, miracles and information for reflection. All this is for the heroes, there is for the viewer, and for children and parents.
Although some of the mystical manifestations can be called clichés, they are so beautifully assembled and served that it remains only to admire and enjoy. A beautiful little scary tale about an old hotel, misty forests on springs and ghosts.
The first season is chic, it very beautifully reveals the story of the missing girl, gradually involving us in the world of the series and turning the idea of such stories. The transition from season to season is quite logical and justified by the storyline, which is very pleasing.
With caution, impressionable and those who have recently had the loss of a parent. Season 1 episode 11 particularly touches this topic, while it unfolds it very competently, environmentally friendly.
It's an amazing movie! Of course, it is designed primarily for teenagers, but adult viewers will enjoy watching, spending a few evenings in the captivating world of fiction! Especially since this is one of the most mysterious subsections of the fantastic genre - time travel.
A good plot, a potentially positive intriguing atmosphere, touching events and soulful characters - provided the series with exceptional appeal and close attention from a wide multi-age audience.
It seemed to me that the project 'Secrets of Salfer Springs' quite strongly correlates with such films as: German-American series ' Darkness'('Dark'), Russian-French-American feature film ' Sagittarius restless' and the mystical American-Canadian mini-series 'The Red Rose Mansion'(''Rose Red'), only has a family-oriented structure. Therefore, nothing terrible and frightening should not be expected.
In a specific case, time travel not only successfully demonstrates mystery, instilling hope for exciting adventures of heroes in an unusual environment, but also reveal certain interrelations and continuity of generations, placing emphasis on family values. The main motive of the story is the tragedy of the loss of loved ones and the eternal desire to return at all costs and change the past. Hence, such a bright, warm aftertaste from viewing - the awareness of the need to appreciate family and friendly ties, protect them and develop.
I think that the educational essence of the picture is obvious. Simple language and visual dynamics of feelings in a bundle ' parents-children' create a stable line of behavioral moral factor. This search for understanding the chain ' the parent is the child in the past and the child is the parent in the future' is a serious pedagogical problem.
I am always enthusiastic about such clever narratives, played in a creative way! The versatility of everyday realities is transformed into a variety of philosophical logical conclusions. For example, the series reflects issues of racial segregation, problems of single-parent families, dilemmas of a communicative nature. Barely perceptible subtle moments associated with the traditional values of the American mentality and a slight nostalgic sadness from the inexorable movement of time, envelope the mind like a fluffy blanket.
Such films sink into the soul, develop imagery of thinking, passion for adventure and the ability to fantasize. It's in children and teenagers... And in adults - inevitably awaken a curious child from years gone by, looking at the world clean and easy.
