My movies are from the trash! Babba is not to blame for removing this misunderstanding.
Dark night frightened 2
I recently wrote a negative review of “I spit on your graves.” Deja vu, i.e. the sequel to the old eplo-thriller of 1978, which was released 40 years later (from the same authors).
Please, a similar situation. Laughing with laughter, but people really don’t want to sit quietly in retirement. You have to come back (after a few decades) and ruin your inheritance. In short, this time the cult scarecrow-horror – “Dark Night Scarecrow” was handed out. The original was born in 1981.
Since its director (Frank De Felitta) passed away a few years ago, the writer of the first part, citizen J. D. Feigelson, sat in the chair of the director. I'm a fool, a man in his 80s, and he's releasing a sequel, whatever it is. Feigelson seriously returned Bubba!
Bubba is the protagonist of the first film, who was brutally killed in a cornfield (trying to hide from the pursuers, Bubba pretended to be a bogeyman). Later, he returned from the dead and began to take revenge on his killers. It was a beautiful nightmare. One of the best scarecrow horrors in the history of the genre, although it was shot specifically for TV.
As for this sequel, it is already a disgusting thrash. Some kind of back-to-ear amateur activity. It’s hard to see what’s happening on the screen. A mother and young son move to a small rural community. While the mother works, the son sits with a cloudy aunt. The aunt (like) uses the kid to influence Bubba, i.e. the bogeyman.
If you've seen the original, you should remember Bubba's connection to the little girl. She was one of the few people who knew about the scarecrow. Feigelson decided to do something like this a second time, but it turned out miserable. Murders aren't impressive. No atmosphere. A soulless sequel. And actors play ineptly. Well, and the saddest thing - they even for some reason showed a picture of actor Larry Drake!
Anyone in their right mind will believe that it is him, there is not enough evil. Cosmic pigeoning from Feigelson.
I highly recommend reading the first film. Don't miss the sequel. We don’t need that kind of thing.
