The story of the relationship of ordinary people with their difficult fates Adachi Momoko, despite her young age, has already faced many trials. When she was still in high school, an accident occurred that killed her parents. The girl gave up her dream of going to college and decided to devote herself to caring for her three younger brothers, because now she is the only person close to them. Momoko got a job as a consultant in a store where she worked for almost a decade. Once in the same store, she meets an interesting guy Yoshioku, who worked in the unloading department. He made a good impression on the girl, smiles all the time, but as if hiding something behind this smile, she does not yet know about the secret that he has been keeping for many years.
A very interesting movie in terms of relationships: between loved ones in the family (I liked what idyll they have), colleagues at work, the development of attachment - from the first fall in love with deep and unselfish feelings. How often do we encounter obstacles that prevent us from giving ourselves to our feelings? Is it the responsibility for your soulmate and the fear of not being able to make her happy? Or a sense of guilt for something you've done that you can't bring back. All this Yoshioka experiences, every time going back to his past.
But if the guy is deeply shy, lonely and constantly doubting himself, then Momoko is the complete opposite of him. By the will of fate, she takes care of her brothers, every time she makes important decisions, she is surrounded by care and understanding, many friends, including her devoted friend Miyuki. Therefore, the girl does not quite understand the behavior of her secret lover. But there’s something that brings them both together – the tragedy of the family, the feeling of inner loneliness that the girl successfully avoids thanks to the idyll in her family, and the guy is stuck deep in it. Then Momoko decides to help Yoshioka and quietly falls in love with him even more.
A very typical role for Kasumi Arimura, her Momoko is a strong and modest girl who puts the interests and feelings of loved ones above her own dreams and plans. A quiet little girl, persistent, purposeful, but ready to give up for the happiness of her beloved, although in this case she fights to the end and, as always, wins. Suffice it to recall “Blinded by You” (2015), “Eternal Connection with the Sea” (2015), “Eye of Fortune” (2019). Watching her play was a pleasure.
Like actor Kento Hayashi, his Yosoiko Manato came out as a very colorful character with deep personal drama. The actor managed to convey the inner experiences of his hero, his struggle with himself for the right to a better future and guilt, which makes you doubt your right to that bright future. By the way, I learned with interest that the actor himself is quite a closed and shy person by nature, so this role to some extent became the embodiment of Hayashi himself, maybe that is why he looked so good in it?
The drama also liked its vitality and the almost complete absence of a hypertrophied approach to showing the emotions of the characters, which is so often found in youth projects. Remember, for example, "Am I not the main character anymore?" (2015). Although the creators did not completely rule out this, thus conveying the inner delights in Saori’s personal relationships, the boss gave marketing to Momoko herself.
This story is about the relationship of ordinary people with their difficult fates. The story of how important it is to find understanding in this world, inner harmony – in yourself, your feelings, love for work. There are many deep psychological and moral moments. For example, a person is always more inclined to experience. We always easily notice the negativity that is deeply ingrained in our soul, destroys it, makes life more difficult. At the same time, bright, good moments are taken for granted, and we rarely notice them. But it is these moments that make up the meaning of our lives, for which we live, feed and be inspired. So the film should appeal to both thoughtful people looking for reflections from the movie, and those who just want to relax. Personally, I liked the theme song "Brand New Planet" by Mr. Children.
