Java nightmares Shinya Tsukamoto's movie is a loud poster. The film excites the imagination because this is a continuation of the first Nightmare Detective, the first part of me was impressed by this truly stunning film with a viscous cold atmosphere, with such a gray picture that delightfully frightened and addictive at the same time, there was a wonderful everyone and actors, led by Ryuhei Matsuda and Xinya Tsukamoto. I was very pleased that in the second film starred Ryuhei Matsuda, he is just a decoration of the film, he is delightful and inimitable. The plot, unlike the first film, is quite different, more youthful, if the first film had a deep psychology and a twist of fear and the flight of thoughts, nightmares and fantasies about death, then the second film is about fear in an abstract concept, fear, as I thought eternal, internal.
The plot also shows the teenagers' relationships, their games, their fears. Twitchy girls have always been a skate of Japanese horror films, but I never thought that I would be thrown in the tremors of a pretty pretty girl with a glass of water in her hands, and a trembling hand with a regular pen, just creepy!
Separately, there is a storyline of the hero with his parents, it was quite interesting to watch their relationship. Manic fears and nightmares in front of your eyes, it's like watching someone's nightmares, not even watching them, so you involuntarily become a participant in them, and it's scary.
And what can be stronger than a mother’s love is only the fear of the unknown.
Of the minuses of the film, I can note that in the second film, Shinya Tsukamoto failed to convey the atmosphere and tension that was in the first film, there was also no gray city and chaotic thoughts of the city's residents.
But it’s worth watching maybe because of Ryuhei Matsuda, because of director Shinya Tsukamoto, because it’s just a good movie.
