Riga delicacy and love for two This film is generally known as “The Thieves’ Commune”, shot in the summer of 1990 at the Riga film studio. The quality is good. All the actors are people from the Riga theatre, some of them are very famous and not very famous. In general, the content is higher in the description, but in two hours it is difficult to understand why such a meager scenario (based on the novel “A Night in the Rain”) turned out to be quite rich.
There are several story lines intertwined here. The first is detective. A young guy Alksnis Juzepichus is serving a sentence in a forged case and after serving time earns part time repairing cars. In his field of view gets a gang of car thieves, one of whom turned out to be the son of a local deputy. Wanting to imprison those who were guilty of his conviction, Alksnis changes the number on the stolen car, and the old bets on the one he just repaired, apparently hoping that the local traffic police will catch accomplices. But I was wrong.
The second line is love. The main character of the second plan is the girl Alksnis, who survived an abortion and other troubles, spins an affair on the side. Unfortunately, in the end, her life breaks down and she makes a big mistake. Alksnis, unfortunately, is no longer helping her. It should also be noted half-naked Martinsone (her bust in the Mirage was seen by everyone) and naked women on the Riga seaside, followed by a couple of teenagers. by the way, photos of women here will play an important role.
The third line is real. The beautiful views of Riga and its surroundings do their job. The general view of the city and suburbs, forests and hills - what was once part of the USSR - has gone, but cinema remains. Very interesting artifact in the form of intercom, I did not even know that in Latvia they were already used.
The fourth line is the persons of the second plan, represented by corrupt officials and alcoholics. There was an enormous amount of money in Riga at that time. I was even told personally by customs officers that Latvians earned much more than the average citizen of Soviet Russia. That's important too.
The fifth line is personality type psychology. That is, how people say and behave, why they take bribes, cheat on their wives and burn with greed.
I watched with interest and enthusiasm.
