A comfortable apartment, a foreign car (apparently a rare phenomenon even in the Soviet Baltics), important and responsible work, trips abroad, a well-fed and secure life - all this became a valuable gift for the beautiful, stately and well-groomed Nina. And, if something happens, it is so difficult to part with all this and lose everything ... This is how the idea is born – to give birth to a child to “fix status” To give birth despite everything, despite their own health and the recommendations of doctors. Who knew that the stupidity of a young nurse would entail a whole chain of links of deception? Once lying, in the name of preserving the peace of mind of her beloved husband, hiding the secret of adopting an unfortunate abandoned baby, the heroine falls into a terrible trap of medical error: the news of the safe salvation of her own – like a blow to the head... What's next? Years of torment and torment, crying tears and unspoken words, and all for the sake of “lies to salvation” For fear of scaring and upsetting your beloved spouse. The lesson the heroine has learned is terrifying. Only a tiny sprout of hope that someone’s small lives have been saved, that both children are in loving arms, will not allow the souls of spouses who have gone through such a test to finally perish.
