A long series of Yeralash or some movies to watch already late.
The main claim to the film is how the plot is described and that the genre of the film as a drama, a thriller does not quite correspond to reality, rather it will suit as a family, with elements of drama, even comedy.
From the description of the film you expect an unusual plot in the form of a complex relationship between a young girl and an adult mysterious stranger in black. And that as they continue to communicate, the tension will grow and the viewer will wait for the denouement. It also bribed that actors are known, such as Garmash, Shcherbakov, Usatova.
But in fact, we have places for comedy, drama and an attempt to fit a thriller into this. In the film, a lot of screen time is devoted to the dialogues of children, and useless and played, and the film resembled a long series of Yeralash. And this is for the thriller genre? There are no questions for adult actors Safonova, Shcherbakov, Garmash, Usatova, Khabensky, everything is in its place. And Cherepukhin for his age with the role coped well, but too much screen time is given to her peers, who only delay the duration of the film and are not convincing in their roles.
At the end of the film, it's not even interesting who's a maniac, because, as someone said before me, he's here to check the box. As a result, he was not disclosed at all, and anyone could be selected for his role. And it's caricatured. Impression as if they wrote the script for the film, thought about the genre for a long time, and then threw a coin, who would fall out of the casting of actors to be a maniac.
Expected something similar to the movie 'Snake Source' as suggested by the recommendation, which is shot much better. And yes, he doesn't look at all. I was surprised that the filmmaker was the same.
I was recommended this film as a horror lover during a conversation about “What childhood movie scared you the most?” I, of course, called “Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Children’s Games” (about the Chucky doll), but my friend immediately got out of the subconscious Russian film “Admirer”. She says she screamed in her voice so much that her mother kicked her out of watching (although she came back a minute later promising not to scream again).
Of course, then the student of the first grade it seemed extremely scary, and I can understand why, the child they really can not seriously scare (and not only the child, probably), but reviewing it now, she had no fear. I didn’t see it through the prism of childhood memories. But I was very interested in him. Interested, because it has a mystery, it intrigues, makes you guess while watching. Who was the maniac after all? To me, the answer is still unclear. I have seen a lot of controversy in the comments. If these disputes arise, then the thing is already worthy of attention, because rarely now you find a film in a genre that forces you to turn on the brain and analyze the smallest details to get to the truth.
Actors are extremely good at acting. Especially a girl. She was only 14 years old at the time and she played well. You can't do that. And the production itself does not cause laughter, there is almost no sense of farce. In short, this thing I would call a good psychological thriller. This is surprising because at the time, I am told, very few Russian-made films were made. However, the picture was slightly cleared up when I found out that the director is Nikolai Lebedev, who directed “Legend N7” and the recent “Crew”, which delighted everyone around. Now I want to see these two pictures, which I will do in the near future.
I recommend to fans of psychological thrillers and non-obvious answers.

Nostalgia for times long gone made me revisit the Internet in search of this film. Once seen as a child, the “Fan” left deep impressions. Thinking back to the age when I first saw the film, it was something of a Silence of the Lambs. I was pleasantly surprised that in our country they are able to shoot not copies and quasi parody of thrillers of the Western school, but their well-staged and integral content.
Now judging from the position of experience, education, work on yourself and in general growing up, we can say that the genre of thriller is not something out of the ordinary, not carrying a great semantic load, they say nervous and well. But coming back to this particular film now, I take it as a very instructive story, frightening with its realism. It is realism, because such a story can happen to literally anyone.
Again, from the point of view of years, education, and general publicity, we all talk about the quality of the film, the work of the director’s operator, the acting. Well, I reason, although not a professional, but a passionate amateur and an experienced viewer (although the viewer is far, far from everything, but what is actually not necessary). The picture quality is excellent. Actors are great. The atmosphere is skyrocketing. I remember the film so that ten years later I easily remembered the plot. And probably the most important thing, reviewing the picture, I did not have a feeling of boredom (And I know who the killer, I know!), there was no awkwardness from my own attitude to the film in adolescence (For example, the same “Gyver” watched and laughed at what in childhood was just terrible, terrible), I still got maximum pleasure from this picture, although now probably double pleasure.
Why did I watch I have not watched Russian films for a long time, and here - a famous director, famous artists, a sharp plot - decided to watch.
Plot The parents of 14-year-old Lena divorced, and she, in order to improve the financial situation of the family, gets a postman to the local post office for mail in the evening. Somehow a random passerby saves her from street hooligans. At the same time, the district is in fear of the crimes of a brutal maniac who kills women. Lena comes to realize that her savior and maniac are the same person. Contact between them continues.
How to do it A purely genre film in the style of Hollywood suspense cinema and films about a maniac. More in the "Impressions" section.
Artists The film contains famous artists - and young (film 1999) Garmash, and Usatova, and very young Khabensky in a cameo role and Elena Safonova. The main failure of the film in my opinion is the choice of the main character. It is very sad, but the young Marina Cherepukhin completely failed her already rather artificial and weak role. She plays so inconclusively that any “Yershalovets” will give her a hundred points ahead. As a half-joke, when according to the terms of the plot, her character lost speech, the film immediately became not much better. There is nothing to say about the other artists - they play their cardboard characters. Only Nina Usatova tries to bring some grotesque colors to her role, but even a good actress like her can not do anything. They don’t play as well as they play.
Impressions A helpless Alagollywood movie. From Hollywood taken weak and artificial plot moves, the manner “here we will scare, here laugh, here let shed a tear”, but at the same time completely removed the study of details, quality acting and camera work. The result is a completely weak approximate and fake movie that has long since exhausted its expiration date, if it ever had one.
The film was released at the time when its theme was most relevant.
I was 9 years old and in school, in the yard – everyone talked about maniacs stalking girls and young women. These were real stories and horror stories that my peers invented, whipping up the already tense situation in the world ... in the world of a little girl.
Remembering that time, only fragments come to mind. A man in a long coat. Described entrances, foul-smelling yellow elevator, scorched buttons. Syringes in the front garden. Music from the program “Man and the law”, shots where the heads of the victims of the killer packages, hands are tied. Consciousness is a consequence of all this.
This movie would be interesting (yes, it is also informative) to watch at the same age. Well, in order to avoid condemnation from those who think that at this age the psyche will falter and warp with interest, we will increase the bar - 11-14 years. Now, after watching, I make a short conclusion (for myself at least): a movie with wonderful actors, with an idea, but simple!
Maybe this tape had its own level, below and above which it was impossible to step. Maybe it was created for a wide audience, who will easily accept, say “Wo!” You may disagree, but either there is a nerve in the movies or there is no nerve. The one that will remind you the next day, and a year later will remind you of what you felt when watching, what you thought. But there was no such thing. At least for me.
Well done Marina Cherepukhin, Mikhail Krylov. Well done Elena Safonova and Sergey Garmash. It's out of the question. Absolutely high game. Sound directing. Operator work. But. That's the end of it. Where it should start. .
A brief review of one of the few Made In Russia films that I don’t want to review. And although Nikolai Lebedev has tarnished his reputation with the film “Volkodav”, yet once, as they say, does not count. Before the release of Legends N17, The Fan was definitely Nikolai’s best film. Despite the fact that the film, in fact, was shot for pennies, in it the share of realism is much more than in most of our (and not only) pictures “based on real events”.
Actors play chic and the naked eye can see that they enjoy the work (and this is extremely rare even in modern films). Marina Cherepukhin, in her fourteen years, played brilliantly, and portrayed the most possible, for her age, acting. Sergey Garmash, after an established image of an aggressive, persistent, confident uncle, looks catastrophically unusual: a simple, ordinary, unremarkable middle-aged man wearing glasses. Here the casting was selected quite well, in my opinion. Elena Safonova hardly showed something outstanding, but she performed her role as a single mother convincingly (although honestly, she has much less screen time than the same Garmash). And of course, the maniac performed by Mikhail Krylov is an obsessive, crazy, obsessed kid with a shaky psyche. This role suited him and played, in my opinion, convincingly and vividly, despite some shortcomings. Boris Shcherbakov in a long cloak and hat is a clear reference to the film “Seven” with Morgan Freeman and Brad Pete, and other American films about police officers.
In general, despite the meager budget, the film turned out to be very good (I repeat, in my opinion, this is the best work of Nikolai Lebedev, before the release of Legend), interesting and intriguing. A kind of white spot among a bunch of black spots on the face of domestic cinema. A good, really good Russian film that is worth watching.

Very evil movie! It seems even more evil than “Sisters” and “Voroshilov Shooter” – films of the same time, the same ruthless and rude, with the same difficult teenagers – the main characters.
Probably, I am too weak in soul, and I will never even come a hair close to what the authors of the above films described their heroines. I will not argue whether this is for better or worse, but I will be honest that I was a teenager at about the same time as the guys shown in such bad films of bad Russia. But I always feel bad, even if someone else beats me next to me. When someone yells at someone, someone quarrels with someone, I also feel bad. I try to avoid conflicts myself, and if someone next to me noisily conflicts with someone, I feel bad. It's a little scary. Some may think it’s a good thing to be a non-conflict person. But I tend to think it's not good. Because no doubt: this girl has quarrelsome, sometimes even cruel traits of character; she is jealous of both mother and father, to their new lovers when their parents divorce; she calls her mother pretentiously by name, not “mother”... Yeah, I hate that girl. But that’s because I’m not that strong and I’ll never be! After all, all these traits actually say only that this girl, when she grows up, will be able to bite many, and will not give herself to be offended! And accordingly, it will go far! A person like me is just a home seat, afraid of many things in life, not always determined and courageous. But smart, allegedly, but the price of such a “mind” is not high.
In a time like the late '90s, qualities like the ability to walk over corpses, like worshipping stronger and more influential figures (whether it's a "roof," a "cool" lover, or "his people" in the interior, were really valued. It's like being able to bite anyone. Therefore, the films were made accordingly. And even though I’m a little creepy at the realization that such people do exist (and that they sometimes exist even among teenage girls), I still can’t help but admire such people in my heart! And how sometimes it is a shame, and even a shame, when I do not feel able to intervene, like Danila (played by the late Bodrov), and a rude, Russian, courageous fist to beat off some scoundrel who walk around the city and prevent people from living!
It is not for nothing that great actors starred in such films at that time. Here we will not see anyone else! Even Khabensky with Poroshina: future Anton with Svetlana, “night watchmen”!
And the maniac? What a maniac! The maniac is here only for an interesting plot. Everything shown here is quite real and quite Russian. These aren't childhood horror stories. This is the life, the life, and the life. And my mother, the daughter of a professor, was attacked by a maniac in the elevator: she does not know how she left. And my grandfather, that same professor, was being courted by fists of pricks when he tried to protect his old son (my uncle). And I've only had my phone taken away in two counts by two little boys. But if we were from the proletarian milieu, perhaps we would have successfully gnawed at our offenders.
But I still diluted the general tone of the black, unsightly, in no way suitable for the measured intellectual life of Russian lawlessness - a cute cartoon about Smesharikov. Who can have doubts after watching a little-known film recently became a star of Director Lebedev, where parodied the relationship of Nyusha and Black Lovelace in a coat and hat, with a mysterious voice?!
