The story of a guy named Philip, who heads the rescue service. The job is to answer the phone and convince the desperate not to commit suicide. But who will save him when on the eve of the brightest holiday of Christmas he is evicted together with colleagues from the premises, the salary has not been paid for several months, and the girl drops him right on the phone?
Not the best Christmas comedy I've ever seen. The film is a black comedy, as it contains murders, corpses, and vulgar humour. But something is missing. The film looks strange and quickly boring, although it was interesting to watch until the end.
It is noteworthy that the episodic role here was played by a young Adam Sandler, playing the balalaika, singing comic verses and flirting with a transvestite. And most importantly, this same transvestite is played by actor Liv Schreiber, who played the brutal brother of Wolverine in the film X-Men: Inception. Wolverine (2009).
Otherwise, it is a one-time comedy with an unusual plot, interesting characters, but a sluggish narrative.
