I'm just every day normal guy cunning smiley permanent time marker of my game "Thank you, Jesus" - the words of the main character of the film
What's my lust? Review writing?! I am a poor person (a sad smiley face)
Ah, those balls.
Basketball. No one knows why balls are so fanatical. Men/boys see the ball and immediately they want to throw it into the gate, into the basket... but at least into space.
_
But capitalists all over the world like it. So many balls can be sold. They get really bad, especially when you play with them. And also spoiled sports shoes, socks, lighthouses, shorts, and even underwear. The capitalist rubs his hands and starts sponsoring tournaments whereby thousands, millions of boys/girls/adults of all ages will spoil sports equipment and buy it in large numbers. All the sports capitalism of the world. This is probably the first shot... otherwise why are they here? Why are the NBA stars here?
This movie is akin to a sports drug... a dealer who gives you a free sampler, puts you on a sports mafia. Sadly (a sad emoticon, cunningly opening one eye to see the reaction of the public).

ok-ko
The thing is, not everyone becomes a champion. Not everyone gets it. As you know, there is always only one champion sitting at the right hand of God. So everyone else who is called that is the Antichrist. Are there many antichrists in the world? Everyone who does not give honor to him who glorified him, everyone who trusts in himself and glorifies himself. Isn't that me? Mm-hmm. Pretend, erase from memory - you haven't read this.

The lust for sport
Lust can be interpreted as a craving (not necessarily for the opposite sex). Lust can be experienced for sports, cars, money, houses. I recently read a note about a traveler who has a similar passion before traveling (something from the category: swam all the seas, conquered all the peaks, etc.). And this, too, is lust - a passionate desire, an insatiable, insatiable attraction. He says he will continue to do this for the rest of his life. Some are engaged in fornication to the last strength, someone goes directly on a woman to another world ... someone when climbing Everest - do you feel similar?
Sports are tragic, even basketball. Michael Jordan, for example, is not a role model. Sport has changed him, and not everything is for the better. How many people did he inspire in the sport? How many of them were disappointed in the sport? How many glory has ruined or inability to reach the desired height (sports Everest).
_
Of course, sport is the best of evils. It is of little use to man, both spiritually and physically. The Spirit is best tempered by fasting and prayer, reading the Word of God. And the body is really enough ordinary walks. Excessive physical activity over the years, as a rule, results in bouquets of disease for the athlete. Lots of examples. How many children actually suffer from sports, from childhood injuries, many end their careers at a young age. Achieving goals, but at what cost? Most athletes are forced to retire by the age of 30-40 (this is the maximum for most sports, especially power sports).
_
But, of course, it is better to engage in sports than crime, although some sports endow a person with “weapons”, power techniques, which are not always appropriate and often dangerous for others. I would say that not everyone should be admitted to the sport, it is necessary to strictly regulate this case for various reasons. But back to the movie.

A film about how, who and why uses popular sports. Someone sees in him the meaning of life, someone freedom, someone the opportunity to earn money and fame. In this sense, basketball is Mount Everest, Olympus, on the way to the top of which many give their souls in exchange for something really insignificant, fading, erasing into dust.
And you remember at least some champions from the last century, except for those units whose names are just on the ears until now. Yes, even the memory of the former "champions" who are honored annually and who are becoming more and more, is erased. Will time erase me? or am I a permanent marker of time?

The film is actually very vulgar. It is good that the old voiceover does not translate mat and other expressions of an obscene nature. But I still hear them, I understand English. Sometimes it seems that Americans, white and Afro, just can't do without parasitic words. Such a society, especially the prison and ghetto.

But come on. It is interesting to visit another time. Late nineties. America, whatever it is, attracts us. Aren’t American movies/series top of the list? Nope! Then you made a mistake with the film ... we go, go on to the Kinopoisk, do not linger.
We're all having a conversation, and you didn't tell me what the movie was about?
The film is literally about nothing. You yourself are the main theme of this movie, the main thoughts to highlight. The tape was taken carelessly. Some dialogues are too picturesque, unrealistic, a lot of things are overstated, which in real life would not be mentioned in dialogues. Some speeches are intended purely for the audience, for explanation, they are what bring anguish and a general feeling of film discomfort.
Still strains advertising, not even very hidden ... advertising sneakers ... how tired. It’s like going to a movie theater, paying for a ticket, and then watching an ad for 25 minutes before the movie starts.
