In memory of Louis de Funes on the 100th anniversary of his birth “It was about eight hours ... a pale light shone over the city and nothing foreshadowed thunderstorms...”
If you want to change, listen to Grandma and go get some milk. This is how Fernand changed his life - a bore, a simpleton, a slut, what other delicious epithets are suitable for such a person. And with these qualities he spoiled the final robbery of the most famous and elusive criminal Great J. But he already wanted to retire from October 1, so to speak, after 20 years of successful career.
Do you have your own home?
-No.
- And you don't go anywhere?
- No.
- And no mistress?
- No.
- Are you thinking about suicide?
The main role was played by Fernand Reynode, a comedian who unfortunately lived only 47 years. Perhaps it was with his ragtag heroes that Pierre Richard took something for his scattered and unlucky characters. And the role of his father and the Great J Noel Rockver, more familiar to us for the role of Noirtier from the Count of Monte Cristo, but perhaps in the French cinema 50-60hgg. it is difficult to find a film in which Rockver did not star, who also had joint work with de Funes. For example, in the film The Devil and the Ten Commandments, he played the role of a police inspector who investigates the case of a bank robbery by the hero Louis de Funes.
The fact that your father-in-law is an idiot is not at all scary. Your dad's a scientist. That's great outweighing!
If you are a fan of Louis de Funes or old French cinema, then this is your movie. I would like to dedicate my review to the centenary of the great actor. The fate of this outstanding man is an example of patience and hard work. It is now known to all, and in the past he outplayed a crowd of servants, waiters and petty thieves. It’s a 1956 movie and it’s not the main role. Not yet. After 10 minutes of waiting, we meet his hero, police inspector Merleren. At that time, Louis de Funes could still boast of lush hair. When you look at his inspector, he resembles a young commissioner Juve or a gendarme Cruciot, only he is not so impulsive and all the emotions of Funes are not so sharpened and expressive.
Merleren dreams of catching the Great J, like Juve Fantomas, using not quite standard methods, whether it is playing cards or a rope with a ring. In general, Commissioner Juve is hiding somewhere in the depths of this Inspector Merlerin, the feeling that here ... now ... and we will see some grimace or movement, but ... no Juve is waiting for his triumphant introduction.
Like our old films, the film is also interesting because we show the life of post-war France, cars, clothes, shops and even the prices of eggs and flowers. The film also mentions actors such as Toto and Marlon Brando.
