And you, my dear, are a diamond. A very sad story about people who have long disliked each other, but for some reason live together. I understand that there are probably many such couples and perhaps even give them pleasure to go through hours of endless sophisticated insults and fights, but one day, even before the full understanding of “What am I doing here?”, one of these quarrels can end tragically.
Behind the endless ornate reproaches, you can see that the root of the disagreement is that the husband, like after 7 years of marriage and the imminent closure of the mortgage, is ready to think about a child, and his wife is already 40 years old and once she wanted this child, but then reconciled that he will not be. All the rest of the time, the couple unravel the tangle of claims about the lack of respect for each other. Periodically there are inserts of the pavilion for shooting, as if stressing that all this is a game and not really. It may be easier to perceive unpleasant scenes, but it did not help me. The New Year in this story is needed to periodically hear fireworks and throw a Christmas tree, so that the New Year’s mood in you after watching can only disappear. And I sincerely wish that people did not bring their relationship to such a state.
Play actors in this strange picture worthy, psychological portraits of the characters are vividly drawn and to them no questions. Even more interesting scenes look when the action takes place in the room, and we continue to show the kitchen. And a soft pleasant contrasting musical accompaniment. The picture is dynamic and it helps to see the story to the end.
But overall, the film is a disfigured version of Before Midnight. If you are interested in movies about relationships after many years of marriage, it is better to watch it. Or "Scenes from Married Life."
