“To be invisible, you have to be of all kinds.” Today ended the show “Spy”, thanks to which for the first time in a long time I became a grateful viewer of the First channel. The film required the concentration and focus needed to avoid missing out on another plot twist, moment or phrase. The content was full of details, subtleties, unexpected solutions, the development of events was difficult, if not impossible to predict. It seemed that the main character was cornered, pressed against the wall, revealed, but he again and again came out of the water and remained invulnerable, continuing his business. All this kept in unrelenting interest and tension.
A win-win decision of the creators of the series was to invite Sergey Bezrukov to the main role.
Sergey Bezrukov “taught” the audience to the fact that he never plays characters who are the embodiment of absolute evil, standing on the dark side of human existence. Therefore, if Bezrukov plays Godunov, you understand that his Godunov could not kill Tsarevich Dmitry, and his Eichmanis, even signing execution lists, does not get sadistic pleasure from this. This is a phenomenon of Sergei Bezrukov, not even an actor, but a human, personal. And in the series “Spy”, the authors, creating a script specifically for Bezrukov, in fact, took advantage of this phenomenon, because even after learning in the second series (and many earlier from the summary of the film), who is actually FSB captain Andrei Rybin, the audience remained his allies. They are sympathetic and sympathetic.
The film in its genre direction combines intellectual detective and psychological drama. Being a spy means being able to win over people, to fall in love, to seduce, to manipulate them, and to make people do what you want them to do. Use people for their own purposes. How it is done does not matter. The end justifies any means. It is clear that a spy must possess various technical means and devices, have many skills, but most importantly - he must be a good psychologist.
The Spy brought together talented directorial and camera work, the work of the screenwriter (!), the artist, and, of course, wonderful acting work. The filigree skill of Sergey Bezrukov, who created a complex, emotionally contrasting image of the main character and a wonderful, bright performance of other artists. All the characters are alive, real, interesting and original. Especially among the artists I want to note Alexei Matoshin (Lieutenant Colonel Klimov), Sergei Yushkevich (General Voloshin), Natalia Kudryashova (Olga), Leonid Gromov (Colonel Tsarev), Olga Vinichenko (Yulia). For a long time, I have not seen such a stunningly played antagonist on the screen as Mishan’s friend, played by A. Matoshin, appeared on the screen. An old friend, from whom after one of the events all the abomination that sat in him climbed out, and insulted male pride, and jealousy, and envy of someone else’s family happiness... The wife of the main character Andrei Rybin Anna, played by Olga Lomonosova, turned out, in my opinion, a very specific woman. As in A. P. Chekhov: “He walks and staggers from laziness.” Are you languishing? Well, my dear, luxury. And from boredom and doing nothing, and in the sun you can find spots. It is clear that the wife was counting on the fact that the husband will retire, there were big plans, but so that because of this everything was “magnetized” in family life. . !
Next to her, the character of N. Kudryashova - senior investigator of the Investigative Committee Olga looks much more interesting - intelligent, ironic, self-sufficient, self-confident woman, beautiful looking, despite the fact that she works tense and abnormally. At first, she treated the fish condescendingly sarcastically. I thought that he would beat, catch red-handed, split, but smiling and courteous Rybin turned out to be a man of steel and indestructible. The fish is dangerous, hiding a lot, but incredibly attractive. As a professional, Olga understands this and that he is her opponent and his actions pose a threat to her, but she cannot resist his charm. At the same time, Olga has her own secret, for which she is ready to go to the end.
You can write a lot about The Spy, you can talk about different moments and scenes, and I will definitely review it. The finale of the series, in principle, gives the audience hope that a new meeting with the main character and a new story about him is quite possible. If that's the case, I'd be happy. Thank you so much for the film to all its creators! If you haven’t seen it, look at it!
