Glass ceilings don’t matter what floor you’re on; it matters who’s next to you. I haven’t written reviews for a long time, since I didn’t get any interesting series – mostly a typical kinzo where faces change, but there is no meaning. This series was interested in the fact that it starred Bensu Soral - I really liked it in the still going ' Trap', decided to look and, especially, it is very short for the Turks - only 8 episodes, very atypical, but most likely just did not come to the viewer. I noticed by the way that those works that did not go to everyone in a row are clinging to - after all, the Turks love drama very much, the more it is, the more interest, apparently. But let’s get to the point.
In this series, a very important topic is touched upon, namely, social equality, or rather, the existing inequality in the distribution of roles in society - that a woman cannot hold leadership positions, receive appropriate money and, in principle, achieve success. I think this topic is especially relevant in Turkey, but it is not for me to judge foreign culture. I just think that the topic is important and it needs to be opened and talked about. All this, of course, against the background of the love story of beautiful heroes.
Leila (Bensu Soral) is a very purposeful girl, she achieved everything by herself, not asking anyone, and not relying on anyone. Jem (Kubilai Aka), financially more secure, but mentally wounded as well as Leyla. Through insecurity and fear, they go to each other. She does not trust people, she seeks love and support. In my opinion, the duo formed, although I am not a fan of this actor. The couple looked nice, watched with a smile their interaction in the frame. I consider it superfluous that such a short series introduced the character of the ex-girlfriend of the hero, who is trying to do something there and instill doubts in the soul of Leila - this is the very cliché, which, in my opinion, it's time to forget - I don't understand why beautiful, self-sufficient girls (and they usually are) decide that it is necessary to return the former love, otherwise life is not nice without it. If only they were endowed with some strong story or traits, or so, one by one - just dolls, empty characters to stretch the plot - sometimes it's funny, but often, if you remove it, the series will not lose anything.
I think that even though the series is short, it takes place to watch. He, of course, leaves the place of fantasy - how the lives of the main characters will turn out, stay together or not, but, at the same time, he also gives positive emotions, in terms, charges with a sense of collective & #39; non-loneliness' - that if you feel bad at this particular moment, everything will get better, there is always something worth living for, just need to change the angle of view.
Glass ceilings are an expression of something unattainable, something that seems very important, in this case, ambitions and aspirations, but in fact, behind it all lies what is really important - just love. It is not necessary to abandon everything in pursuit of imaginary ideals - you can be happy both in work and in personal life, the main thing is that there is someone who will share it with you.
The series gives you reasons to think, somewhere to smile, somewhere to cry - thank you, by the way, for this music - it added the necessary sensations of a particular moment. In my opinion,
