Love has no age. Love is immortal. A touching love story of an old man, born in his memories and continued even after his death. The film, which began quite simply, was able to overcome the template of the plot with the help of good acting and beautiful background music. At least that's what he's done to me. Hardik Gajar, a serial master, tries to break into the world of a full meter, without bothering with originality. Although his previous film 'Bhavai' raised some religious and cultural values. There was a theater of folk art, and the main role was invited Pratik Gandhi, working in the Gujarat theater. In general, critics gave the film mixed ratings, lamenting the outdated theme, but at the same time praised Pratik’s play, soundtracks and beautiful shooting. Apparently, after that, Hardik decided to tie up with historical overtones in his projects (his series is just about the same) and switch to something more modern, which is closer to the people today.
And here you are, the main character is a stand-up comedian, his girlfriend is a flight attendant. They have a conflict on the background of cohabitation. The friend of the hero (not a friend anymore) for some reason always advocates that they run away. At the same time, she does not shine with a successful personal life and is very negative about a childhood friend who is ready to wear it in his arms - like, such behavior in any gate, I want my feet wiped and put in nothing. In short, the face is full ' cultivation ' nation. And that’s where you can’t get on the head of the hero falls already deceased by this moment elderly Punjabi, who for some misunderstanding calls him his grandfather (!) and asks for help to meet his first love. At the same time, the plot is so lightning-fast that all this backstory fits into only half an hour of time.
Surprisingly, three people worked on the script. Not every blockbuster can boast of that. However, the story is not striking in its scale and is not full of high-flown dialogues. On the contrary, everything sounds and looks quite ordinary. And here comes to the rescue the music director, a certain Prasad S. His music from the very beginning sets a certain mood that you want to hear the continuation, and accordingly to watch the film to the end. In general, the whole picture turned out to be as musical as possible, almost every five minutes a new composition was played or, to enhance the effect, some episodes were superimposed with appropriate background music with notes of nostalgia and sadness. In fact, the story was very sad, and the comedy, so to speak, was present solely to support the pants.
The actors on such a meager plot field had only one thing to play with all their might, so that the audience did not focus on the shortcomings of the manufacturers. I, in turn, will give the audience award to Jackie Shroff and Pratic Gandhi. Yes, the same Pratik from the Gujarat theatre. It was with him that Hardik again decided to try his luck in the arena of big cinema. The actor was given a dual role. He played his grandfather in the past and informally, according to the favorite canons of rebirth, grandfather in the present. Fortunately, he was equally good in all his incarnations. There was comedy and even drama. Although the dramatic wick was set on fire by Shroff's hero, Pratik successfully assisted him to the end. I felt sorry for the old man. Despite his age, he was so childish and simple, and at the same time with a wise and understanding look. I liked the guy who played young Makhan. The actors successfully combined emotionally. Makhan remained sincere and open even after his death. Shroff was incredibly charming. It feels like he lost a lot of years and again became a young lover, waiting with trepidation to meet his beloved. I watched the second half of the movie with tears in my eyes. This was due to the sincere feelings of Shroff and Pratic. It was a beautiful duo.
In the end, Hardick and his three writers tried to show compatriots simple human joys, pure relationships that are remembered forever, and not these momentary love-erotic impulses that are forgotten the next morning. The main character on the example of his ' grandson' realizes that lost time can not be returned. I could see from my eyes that I understood. In general, the final episode was very 'speaking'. It may seem that the film was suddenly cut off on the most interesting. But I don’t think there was anything else to add. The main message was conveyed to us very clearly. I really want Bollywood to return to such a film about light and good. In this case, I want to thank Hardik for the pleasure. And I wish you all a pleasant view!
