“Aunt Martha” was one of the great discoveries of this year. The plot is really original and catchy, all the characters turned out bright, well-worked, with their own highlights.
The emphasis is made on an interesting plot, dialogue and acting, a separate respect for the writers of season 1 - they managed to fit all the events in just a couple of locations (apartment, school, yard), and still the viewer was interested.
A successful casting of the girl for the main role, Vitaly Kornienko got the role of a child who had to become an adult much earlier. . .
For Alexander Metelkin, it was just a personal benefit, his character - a charming crook Marat begins with the fact that he wants to squeeze the girl and grandfather's apartment, but at the end of the series he is waiting for a complete rethinking of life values.
Beautiful and characters of the second plan: Yuri Kuznetsov in the role of a grandfather-special agent with dementia is simply magnificent, Sergey Epishev in the role of a funny neighbor-alcoholic also will not leave anyone indifferent.
Of the downsides of Season 1: Cristina Asmus’s role and play didn’t impress at all, but luckily she’s a minor character. Well, of course, a very strong minus - the scene of a turtle beating on the table, I was already moved. Apparently, the creators of the series have a very weak idea about the physiology of these animals. In the story, it was a comedic moment, and nothing happened to the turtle, but in reality, such a blow from a healthy strong man would be fatal for a poor reptile. . .
The first season looks just in one breath, no series sags.
The second season finally reveals the intrigues of the first season, but the plot is weaker than the first. Here the main character has a twin sister, and a little vinaigrette begins, new villainous characters are added (suddenly cute Zoe Berber).
Still, the story of 2 seasons together comes out whole and looks easy because of the comedy presentation. Although, if you think about it, the topics that the authors raise in this format are not funny at all: an orphanage, the search for biological parents, fraud with real estate and inheritance, abuse by guardians and guardianship authorities, dementia of a loved one, etc. Perhaps this contrast struck me the most, it is really very unusual.
p.s. the authors, it seems, are really not indifferent to the fate of pupils of orphanages, at the end of the episodes during the credits they show children's drawings and invite you to visit the website of the orphanage, this also deserves respect.
Thoroughly flipping through the top 250 in the hope of finding something interesting, I came across the series Aunt Martha, which had fantastic scores on Kinopoisk. I was surprised that the little girl was in the lead role. The fact that there are high-rated Russian TV series I knew from the example of vampires in the middle band, but the product seemed to me primitive, dull and mediocre. Things are different here.
Pros of the series:
1) Interesting, unusual dialogues, especially the main character with her Kazan comrade.
2) An unexpected plot, which at first seems trivial, but eventually unwinds to the misunderstanding of what is happening here and who is who.
(3) Not a bad caste of the main characters. Pretty and charismatic girl on the main character and really like a scammer and clown her Kazan friend.
(4) The idea of multi-betting is fresh and adds irony. I loved it.
Cons of the project:
1) I was very disappointed with the idea of the series. In fact, this is a story about the abandoned generations of a great Empire that could produce up to 30,000 strategic nuclear warheads, tens of thousands of tanks and guns, where the entire population was protected and fed, tens of thousands of factories and factories worked, where our citizens were carefully guarded from the aggressive outside world, which was simmering and melting from social inequality and monstrous conditions of survival. And what do we have of it that we leave to our children? A society of scavengers who are trying to squeeze out an apartment in Moscow from a dying old man and an orphan. A society of bandits, dependents and drunks - useless worms. A society that does not exist.
After reading the annotation for this series, I immediately remembered an interview with Boris Grachevsky, in which he told how difficult it is for Yeralash & #39 to pick up children who have at least some acting skills. But the high ratings of the series and good reviews made you watch this series. Indeed, for a professional actress, the girl plays very badly - played emotions, recitation of memorized text, a frozen facial expression, a bunch of details that are noticeable even to a profane like me. But for a little girl, it's a good game, especially against the other kids in the show. Adult actors play normally, but the series is not good for acting. The plot is interesting, sometimes its twists are very unexpected. Cartoons are a great idea of authors, they are sometimes funnier than jokes from the series.
Girl Martha, ' aunt' who, in addition to going to school, takes care of the whole household and follows the mad grandfather, at first seems unnaturally serious and adult, but then more and more often there are moments when she behaves like a little girl, which gives realism to what is happening. The main drawback of the series is some series built on the standard template of modern comedies: the hero (usually Marat) lies very stupidly and clumsily, which is accompanied by a stupid unnatural facial expression in the style ' the average actor plays a very bad actor' but for some reason they believe him, although the lie gradually becomes quite delusional. To my taste, it's stupid and not funny at all, and I really want to squander those scenes. But in general, a very worthy series, the plot drags on from the first frames and nowhere seriously sags. I will be waiting for the second season.
Aunt Martha is an amethyst among the rocks of the modern construction series.
It has long been clear to everyone that CTC is not a guarantor of quality content, but rather is a typical creator of a stamping machine that releases a product, often without monitoring its quality. Recently, most TV channels have started to release their content on online services to increase their user base. And CTC is probably jumping on this train one of the last. This is probably a good thing.
The strictest instruction. Do not read the synopsis for the TV series on Kinopoisk and similar services, as by reading it, you doom yourself to the wrong thoughts. Initially, one day with a friend we thought that CTC, like most TV channels, released its version of ' Home Alone' only in television format. But I was not surprised when I started watching the first 8 episodes in a volley and fell asleep only at 5 a.m.
Aunt Martha. This is the apogee of the current state of the domestic television series market. Because of the long viewers just starved for quality products and put this series deserved 8 points on Kinopoisk. What about me? In my opinion, so the authors of the series came out so good product that you look and say: ' Why so little? I want a sequel & #39; You have to wait for the next day or week.
If you touch on the topic of humor, then the series also goes very well. If we consider the humor of the latest TV series and films of domestic production, then in them humor was considered bullying any person, whether he is fat or blonde at the wheel. In this product, humor is based on situations with characters and various references.
Plot. Many people will ask: what is so special about it? The usual story of how a relative from another city under threats of a bandit tries to re-register the apartment of a little girl. But this, perhaps, will say only those who stopped after the first series and did not watch the series.
With each series, unfamiliar characters become relatives. You see a child who tries to appear to be an adult with the help of his friends and relatives grows up. And such metamorphoses occur not only with the child, but also with adults whom Marta is trying to help. This story is not just about a child being robbed. This is a story about the real growing up of every person!
Speaking of the final. In my opinion, it is much more correct than in the same 'Close Gestalt'. Where the main character kind of did all his business and he doesn't owe anyone anymore, but no, everything turns around and starts over. The writers of Aunt Martha put the accents more correctly, as if everything was allowed, but not all the storylines were closed, which is why the season finale smoothly brings us to the second!
Summing up the verdict, I want to say that this series can give you a good pastime, telling a simple but funny story about a little girl who can not get along with anyone, but with each episode becomes more adult and good-natured. And at the end you will shout the word 'NO' but not out of anger, but because you have to wait for the second season!

Best show ever from CTC. We can say more from the entire Russian manufacturer. Of course, the rating on Kinopoisk is somewhat overstated, not all generally recognized masterpieces of cinema have such an indicator, but I think that over time it will settle down.
What is the success of this series? First of all, in a decent story. The writers tried their best, their talent cannot be denied. An unused idea, the present element of the mystery from beginning to end, the unpredictability of the outcome, a certain harmony and timeliness of the plot events. “Yesterday was too early, tomorrow will be too late,” as they say. There is no such thing that the viewer languishes for hours in anticipation of an obvious outcome or as the snow on his head receives a portion of “shocking” events in a few minutes of airtime. In general, the story itself is told as a kind of detective story, when the viewer learns the details shrouded in mystery during the series.
It’s easy to see how much quality gives. After all, the series itself is not much different from most similar to it: several main places of action (in our case, an apartment-yard-school), the spectator’s spectacular moments are also not particularly spoiled, and the situation outside the window is far from landscape: a snowy Moscow courtyard. I hope that on the wave of success next season (which will certainly be, but about this later) the budget of the series will be raised.
About the characters and the actors. I will mention only two main characters, the secondary ones play well and I have no specific complaints. Unless Cristina Asmus did. Her heroine is the same hysterical Varya from “Interns”. But this time it has an even more caricatured image. It's supposed to be funny, but it's not. The performer of the role of Martha - without any special complaints, the main role clearly overpowered. Rarely in domestic TV series you will see in the foreground a child 10-12 years old. All that remains is to praise the girl.
Separately, about a man who in some sense eclipsed Martha and came out almost in the center of the narrative - Marat (actor Alexander Metelkin). If the authors often endow ALL the characters of their series with such characteristics as all-encompassing lies and deception, gossip and hypocrisy, then in our case all these traits are “stuck” in one hero. And I must say, it is interesting to watch his tricks, tricks, charm, with the help of which he leads almost all the characters of the picture by the nose. And at the same time, he does not look at all like some villain who personifies universal evil, but rather a petty amateur crook who still retains the makings of decency. Here it is necessary to note the charisma and talent of the actor, as well as the directorial work that allowed to embody such an image on the screen. Perhaps this role will be the starting point in the brilliant career of Alexander Metelkin.
About the final and forecasts and prospects for the next season.
Yes, the ending could have been more inventive. However, to call it bad or unsuccessful I do not turn my tongue. Harmonious end to a fruitful story work. According to the final scene, it is clear that the decision to start production next season has been made. Some ideas and possible trends:
1) search for mother Martha already with new information (it will be worse if it appears immediately)
2) the revival of villains in one form or another
3) blurring the story with Olga (the least interesting plot in the future)
We can talk with confidence about the success of the series. Frequently, STS gives series of this level. Often also mentioned touching, kindness, instructiveness of the series. That's a plus for his piggy bank. I would like to see some scale in the future, although I’m not sure that even a small exit from the category of “family” will benefit the series. And the main character will grow significantly by the next season, which will narrow or expand certain opportunities. Here let the filmmakers think, and we will wait for another worthy spectacle.
