Cleansing of the population or the sham apocalypse The description reads: The government program is poisoning millions of people. But the grandfather and granddaughter survive, their blood is hunted by ruthless speculators and an official determined to save his son, leading to a struggle for survival amid chaos.
I don’t know what to expect.
Description promises: action movie, horror, thriller.
Okay, action. There are plastic machines, there are masks on the faces. Excellent.
Thriller. It seems that you need to worry about the main character, but when you look at a lady with purple hair, with a well-fed ass and onions behind her back, you somehow can not worry. She wins all fights with men, and the fights are put very carefully, apparently, so as not to spend money on fake blood and drugs for actors.
Horror. The whole movie is one horror. But the hand did not go up to make the review red.
The shooting is very confusing, jumping from one character to another. But we can distinguish the main characters: this is the granddaughter - Maya (actress Lynsei Soto), a grandfather named Charlie (Peter Holland) and an official Onslov (S. Lamar Wilson).
Charlie lives in an abandoned theater and is a bit out of his mind. Maya is constantly running away or fighting with someone, generally responsible for the action. Onslov, who looks like a preacher, speaks to people, tries to save his son. There are several more characters who appear in the frame more than once, the writer stretched the plot as best he could. The world that Johnson created looks like the backstage of a wandering circus – strange characters, shams, beggars looking for blood (the blood in Population Purge is the main source of life, the exchange coin), there are a couple of characters with a line of behavior different from most. The film has no scope, and it is understandable, given the budget. The scenery is the edge of the forest, a couple of abandoned cars.
The film's director, Brian Johnson, who in his biography describes himself as a man who spent 35 years building a career in the film industry as a cameraman and filmmaker, made his debut feature film at a respectable age. And embodied all his childhood ideas in it: he invited his acquaintances - non-professional actors, many did not even have time to change, gave them weapons: bows, swords, a rifle with an optical sight (although he did not allow you to shoot, all the same, according to the script she does not shoot), gave the script ... or rather, the script was invented during the film, someone even dragged a boat, the benefit of the location has to use it.
In general, I am sure that the film crew had a good time.
