It would seem that Antonio and Angelina are a rattleskin mix, but 15, 20, 25 minutes have passed - and somehow still restrained, cold. And it is not necessary to undress the actors and show bed scenes. You can reveal the characters differently, use their temperament and charisma. But it’s not just about that, it’s about development and the script itself. For me, it doesn’t matter if a famous person/personality was involved in the shooting. With this course of events, it does not work, more precisely, it works in the opposite direction, i.e. forms the opinion that it was invited just because of weaknesses in the scenario to compensate for the shortcomings. Actually, the candid scenes should also be for the good, but does not blow from them (during my partial viewing) the passion that, as expected, will beat the key by the 25th minute certainly. Because of the presence of Jolie and Banderas, I gave the film the opportunity to show itself in all its glory, but the film did not live up to its hopes and expectations. Absolutely.
Behind the erotic scenes of Antonio Banderas and Angelina Jolie lies a dangerous game of lies and mad love. The Cuban trader (not coke, but tobacco), who has a decent fortune, still does not marry, and the clock is ticking (Tick-tock, mazafaca). Under the laughter, dancing and beautiful atmosphere, the film pleases and intrigues the first meeting of the main characters, reflecting the mystery of Jolie and the besotted look of Antonio. After falling in love begins a stormy life.
The film retains a certain secret, the emphasis on the understatement of the girl is accompanied by a constant attraction of a man. Beautiful and relaxed. Still, in 2001, when Angelina shone in many projects, and the Spaniard Antonio conquered the audience with erotic works by Pedro Almodóvar, brutal heroes of Robert Rodriguez and The Mask of Zorro, their appearance on the screen as a couple in love, with many frank scenes, excited the audience.
For a long time on erotic film would not take, so the mystery of the heroine dangerously lies on the idyll of the family hearth, first surprising, and soon impartially leaving the existing life. The picture perfectly reflects the dependence on another person. The love that turns everything upside down envelops poor Antonio and sends him to search for his muse. The magic of temptation is conveyed by the operator, in truth, magnificently, the eyes are sharpened not on the naked body, but in front of the eyes, on the details of the wardrobe, on small and awkward actions. Jolie in all her glory. The beauty of manipulating men.
What are the men willing to do to attract Angelina’s attention? Anything! This is reflected in further episodes. A fatal woman hides secrets, lies and plays by her own rules. The picture is filled with frank confessions, attraction and traumas of childhood, which the girl went through. Some scenes are so unaesthetic that they destroy the view of the world in the eyes of Antonio. The appearance of the third man in this story is also brightened by the secrets of the past. Thomas Jane was not immediately recognized in the frame, but his double play on the side of Antonio and against him perfectly saved the thriller.
Constant running, constant hiding from the law, the inability to live a normal life – this is what is characteristic of Angelina. Antonio wants to live a long and happy life with his love. Opposite people, different values, characters and views on the future – cinema interweaves all established principles to add dangerous ties, cruelty, and deception with a new wave, increasingly plunged Banderas into the abyss of lawlessness.
You're already waiting for a key turn, when either he'll resign himself or she'll throw something more dangerous, but the film wraps this story into a choice: happiness or constant duty and fear. In addition, the whole story was a flashback, a story told by Jolie. The viewer sees what all this has led to in the present time to surprise and make a beautiful finale.
Although the story needed a tragic ending, Banderas’ insights led him to the fact that the dangerous attraction and passion for the mysterious woman reflected everything he had before meeting Angelina. But we have an interesting, mysterious love story that destroys all the mistakes of the past and will stop at nothing to preserve the whole. In addition, nudity within the framework of passion and love is much easier to perceive in the frame than just sex scenes. And in general, it is Banderas and Jolie, what could be unaesthetic here?
Excellent, vital and quite relevant film. Interesting, intriguing, catchy. I like those who love movies about difficult relationships of people, real hot feelings.
The plot is original and extraordinary. A very peculiar combination of melodrama and thriller. At first, everything seems like an ordinary romantic movie. Watch and enjoy the beauty of Angelina in corsets and lace. But then there is intrigue, which will be present until the end. An event happens that changes everything, and interest begins to arise. The plot changes like a meandering snake - you can never predict what will happen next. Pain, deception, betrayal, passion. Emotions that follow each other with unprecedented speed.
Wonderful actors. All three are charismatic personalities: Jolie, Banderas, and Thomas Jane. I admired the actors throughout the film. Getting into the role is one hundred percent. Their work was surprisingly well-coordinated with each other. All feelings were bare and shown to us.
Julia Russell appeared before us an incredibly sweet creature, just some delightful celestial glow, descended from the deck of the ship to meet her fiancé. And it was then Jolie the vampire who infected Banderas with a deadly virus: and he had no more day left, only a continuous universal night without a single star and no tiny hope. Understanding what is going on in her head, or, it is scary to think, in her heart, is not so easy. You begin to follow her every gesture, look, facial expressions and do not notice how you are already inside these passions. If you have ever loved so convulsively and without looking back, then perhaps you will experience those emotions again with these captives of your feelings. This is the story of a doomed fraudster and libertine. A woman who loves money more than anything else because she never had anything else. Julia Russell is, in a way, a fallen woman. She chases the money of rich men, attracted by her beauty and some depth of personality. She fools our brother in the face of Banderas, who falls into her sweet captivity. Meeting such a woman is both happiness and sorrow. Happiness is because it must be experienced at least once in your life, a passion that you will remember all your life. Woe, because for everything in this life you have to pay and have to pay with your own soul. She sucks every last drop of her victims, including not only money but true feelings, and then leaves them devastated by grief, bankruptcy and loss. She is like a fish, waving her tail, swims away and flashes here and there. A saleswoman who gives himself to everyone. It's just disgusting. By the end of the movie, it wasn’t so bad. When we saw the rebirth of this woman through love. It was thanks to the obsession of the beloved man that this became possible - nothing else could revive a person in her. The walls of her egoism were very strong, but love came so strong that she herself wanted to destroy her prison and run towards it.
Vargas falls in love with his new wife, believing that she answers him in kind, but not everything is as cloudless and wonderful as it seems. From the very beginning of the film, the hero is asked: is his passion for a woman or love? The hero does not understand the difference between these concepts. No way. We should take our hero by the squarks, but shake it so well, Anne, he loves her and lusts for her. It's a man's problem. Painful obsession with a woman. Willingness to do anything for the person who just swallowed you, your soul and body. Mind fell into the abyss. Vargas shows a feeling without embellishment. Love is what it is. Passionate and ruthless. It was a kind of primal fear of losing a beloved woman and waking up without her in a cold bed. And she left... In cold blood she deceived, crushed under herself, stirred up his aristocratic soul and left. Oh, you should have seen the eyes of this all-conquering Antonio when he realized he had been cheated - cruelly and ruthlessly! So much pain that covers the sunlight, so much rage that poisons everything inside, so much inhuman and unbridled universal sadness I have never seen before. And the next thing I thought was, "Will I forgive you?" And he forgave... The one who tore his soul to pieces, lifted public shame to the pitchforks, who robbed and trampled him, abused his sentiments, and hastily packed his suitcases. But he still couldn't accept Bonnie because Bonnie was killing him, destroying all his values and principles. People who have fallen in love at least once can feel these conflicting emotions. The power of charm and the magic of seduction can make anyone happy... and destroy everyone. She took everything from him: soul, love, money, desire to live. It kills, tramples, turns him into a slave. He deceives himself that he can kill her, and he is ready to crawl after her on his knees. He admits he's weak. Meeting one-on-one with passion, the inner core turned into the stem of the liana. Identity crumbling... We see the image of a joke lover, a simple-minded lover. When Banderos, having learned the whole truth, is going to drink poison and admits it to Jolie – tears are simply impossible to hold! It's a masochistic character. She regularly tries to kill him in cold blood, betrays him, robs him, and he continues to love her. The temperamental Cuban has no ego, is not jealous and ends up under the heel of a woman, turning from a solid man with his own business into a despicable cheater.
Unbelievable things happened at the end of the film. The director of the picture is probably an exceptional romantic or just plays by the laws of the genre. And the finale was like calm after a stormy eight-meter wave. He lulled the viewer, pushed back the trouble and made him believe the most incredible, until the next storm warning. Despite all the difficulties, all the differences in the characters and lives of the heroes, they still found the strength to stand. For their wonderful and sincere love! Maybe naive, but the one that a man should love a woman. Forgive a person, believe him, hope that he will change, and he will change, because the power of love can do many things. This is one of the most difficult trials - to preserve love and forgive a loved one who offended your most bright and noble feelings. Admit to yourself that you still continue to love the one who brought the most terrible pain in your life, from whom the soul was beating in convulsions and sobs. After all, every breath without the presence of a loved one tears the lungs. A film about great passion. You can go through dozens of women. The smartest, the most beautiful, the best. But your thoughts will still return to the one who is not clear what hooked.
Have you ever met a person whose appearance changed your life instantly and thoroughly, for whom you are ready to sacrifice absolutely everything and whose love gives strength even when you do not have the strength to move on? Having met such a person, you can safely call yourself lucky. Since not everyone succeeds in this and I think the main character of this film, directed by Michael Christopher, would easily agree with this.
As long as there is cinema, as many filmmakers willingly tried to mix completely different genres in their paintings. One of them succeeded, and the final result certainly pleased the eyes and consciousness. When others managed to create something completely incomprehensible and incoherent. The director of this film Michael Christopher was certainly lucky to get into the first category of filmmakers. Many directors quite often mixed genres of melodrama, thriller and detective before, but as organically and integrally as it was managed by the director Michael Christopher.
Starting as a very passionate, sexually sustained and erotically expressed melodramatic film with a stormy romance, the film quickly and confidently turns into something much more. Not only drawing the main character into the abyss of events dangerous for his life, but also the viewer into an atmosphere of complete surprise and tension. I am pleased that each of the genres Christopher revealed on the screen is simply magnificent, and the symbiosis of all three genres gives the picture an atmosphere of saturation and dynamism. That allows with great interest to catch every moment and every scene of the picture.
The plot itself develops in the best traditions of the detective genre. Already from the very first frames, leaving the viewer in a fool and doing a similar trick throughout the tape quite repeatedly. When an abundance of sharp and unexpected plot twists turns out to be extremely difficult to clearly predict what will happen next and how the film will end. Since the level of betrayal, pretense and falsehood is brought on the screen to such a level that it is extremely difficult to call someone a positive or negative character. In fact, as well as not to give credit to how authentically demonstrated on the screen was the all-consuming and destructive power of passion.
It is also worth admitting that the film would have turned out completely different if not for the perfect selection of actors for the main roles. Antonio Banderas has always been an image of a very passionate, restrained and somewhat impulsive macho. When Angelina Jolie was always the embodiment of the concept of “rock beauty” and in this regard, both actors got into their images just perfect. Banderas fully played out in the usual manner of natural play. When Jolie brilliantly revealed such an ambiguous image on the screen, which throughout the tape willingly plays and manipulates the feelings of the audience. Giving Angelina Jolie one of the strongest roles in her career and several prestigious awards for "Gia" director Michael Christopher decided again with the actress and definitely not lost. For the most part, the film is based on it. Not to mention the worthy game Thomas Jane. It has a secondary role on the screen.

Seduction is a truly magnificent combination of genres of erotic melodrama, an action-packed thriller and a famously twisted detective on the screen. A very stylish, beautiful and spectacularly shot film that equally keeps in suspense and tickles the nerves not only famously written story, but also a magnificent performance of the main roles. That way, I can watch this movie over and over again.
Writing a review of such a film as "Seduction" (Original Sin), it is not difficult: here you do not need to talk about the idea, the message and so on.
Briefly about the plot: a handsome man falls in love with a depraved intriguer and a fraudster, of course, also beautiful, and, even after the deception, he follows her, as he is madly in love and can not live without her.
Perhaps someone else besides me wondered why he loved her so much. Judging by the film, it seems that this is just the first good mistress in his life, and this is what he tied. You can also understand, although it is a shame in the case of a man who showed Banderas.
What I liked: the bed scene of Louis and Julia, beautifully turned out.
Irritating moment: lips, lips, finger to lips, finger on Jolie's lips. Too vulgar and somehow funny, would be more suitable for advertising cosmetics.
The ending is something that could raise this film to one level, something for which you could close your eyes to the tastelessness with Jolie’s lips.
But Christopher just messed up the finale (you’ll see what), thereby nullifying the impression of Banderas’ good performance, beautiful shots and good costumes.
In the world of the film industry, there are never many films about love, which is understandable, because the topic is inexhaustible and limitless. But often, instead of competently presenting something new to the viewer in an already ordinary environment, directors and screenwriters copy each other, repeating themselves in stories, names and faces. But when you look at the Seduction, you’ll realize that it’s not “one of those” paintings. It's something new. New, intriguing, forbidden and even sweet.
This is not a love story, this is a love story.
This is a story about an all-consuming passion: an animal? Unrestrained? Sure. Crazy? Of course.
The film is simply immersed in a kind of well of drama. Murder, lies, passion will stop at nothing. There is only desire, and conscience sleeps somewhere in the shadows, waking up only occasionally to fall asleep again.
Special attention is required to the musical accompaniment of the film.Terence Blanchard stole a piece of my heart. Without such a sound, perhaps the film would not be so atmospheric and not so deeply penetrated into the souls of people.
The same applies to the cast.Jolie, Banderas, always included in the list of the most unpleasant actors for me, conquered from the first seconds. They didn't play, they lived with those emotions, at least I believe that. Every gesture, look, smile is so professionally chosen that there should be no doubt that people are talented. I did, too. A pleasant discovery was the cute Thomas Jane-villain he managed to do everything. Cynical, merciless, not knowing shame - what else does a girl need to fall in love?
Verdict:
The storyline is famously twisted, it is difficult to assume what will happen next. The film is full of emotions, passions and keeps the viewer in suspense. Very seductive intimate scenes of the main characters, they very sensually conveyed their idea of the fusion of souls. Perhaps some scenes and go beyond what is allowed, but it looks very erotic and organic.
This film is for an audience that has experienced something similar in their lives: sparkling, all-consuming passion, loss of power over the mind, as well as some personality deformation. In our lives, there are stories when a quite reasonable person throws himself into the pool of passions and only he is able to pull him out of there, this is what these magnificent actors, as well as wonderful directing, tried to convey to us.
The film is about forgiving love, passion, hatred, with which the film is saturated so that the viewer becomes as if accidentally an accomplice of what is happening. This story is about how a lover steps over himself, his ambitions and follows his coveted ideal into hell.
I recommend to those who prefer the aesthetics of intimate scenes, wild porn (and thank God) you will not see here! Yes, a film for a man with a rich inner world, able to love and forgive. Or maybe this story will become a balm for a wounded soul. . .
The temptation to turn off in the first minute of viewing
It is amazing how such films make their way into the lists ' best erotic scenes', ' best movie about love' and also gain so many positive reviews.
Let’s start with the fact that even a simple picture to watch with your half in a free evening with the continuation of the film does not pull. There is no love here, erotic scenes - one with a half (of course, if you are not a lover of cheating), the rest cause a gag reflex. The heroine Jolie does not raise doubts about the ease of her behavior literally in the first quarter of the film, and Antonio for some reason looks like Alexander Pistoletov.
The storyline does not withstand any criticism, two miraculous resurrections in one picture plus endless accents on the stunning Jolie cause the wildest boredom. All this is seasoned with viscous dialogues of the most pathetic and meaningless content. The moral side of the question is not even worth considering, but I somehow do not want to believe that love is to lie with a broken face under the stairs while your woman gives up four (or how many there were?).

Just for Angelina's body - the only thing that's more or less pleasant to look at here.
A film about great passion. From the very beginning of the film, the hero is asked whether he has passion for a woman or love. The hero does not understand the difference between these concepts. And all because passion - burnt brains - rash actions - loss of property - the end of stability - problems with justice - death.
But it saves all love. For self-sacrifice and self-sacrifice for the happiness of another being is the driving factor of all times and centuries.
But for the heroine assigned a difficult love. She had a love for her partner and her husband. The struggle of old and new life. Its choice swings from one side to the other. In general, the development of the plot, sharp turns of fate. There's a lot to see all two hours of the movie.
I was pleased with the performance of the actors, their transmission of emotions, manners. The selection of sexual partners sweetened the whole film. From the very beginning of the film, you begin to worry about the main characters, you live their lives.

Cinema is still a phenomenon with a huge set of tools and techniques that make us ignore the absence of logic, flaws, inconsistencies. We are fascinated by the acting, the swiftness of the action, leaving no time to think. Only after watching you say to yourself: “Well, a pile of fantasies showed me!” But in this movie, oddities made calls for me while watching. Cinema is a lie that the audience wants and expects. To begin with, two sex symbols have flabby bodies. This became evident when they played an erotic scene in the nude. But we made sure to see them beautiful.
But I was much more interested in the blunders in the story. One. At the time of meeting the hero told the heroine that he lied to her in letters, posing as a poor man. He's actually rich. They hunted him and went on a crime. Question. Why, considering the character of Banderas an ordinary clerk, someone began to hunt for his wealth?
Two. Is the character a masochist? She regularly tries to kill him in cold blood, betrays him, robs him, and he continues to love her? The temperamental Cuban has no ego, is not jealous and ends up under the heel of a woman, turning into a despicable cheater from a solid man with his own business? Are we told that this rag deserves our respect and understanding?
Three. How could a client hire a con man hanging out in other countries as a private detective? Hiring a private investigator, usually come to the office, i.e. there must be a rented office. And how did the attackers guess that in search of a detective the lady would come to their office?
Escape from prison, it turns out, is such a simple thing, it is carried out elementary. The living dead man, who was mistaken for the murdered, is such a stamp that I want to throw a slipper into the TV screen.
For the sake of spectacular plot twists in the film, a lot of similar moments were spun.
But the landscapes are exotic, and the romantic story is such that must certainly please the audience, who lack passion in everyday life.

I really don’t like watching movies that were made more than 5 years ago. But since this film is such an amazing duo, Jolie and Banderas, I could not resist and still decided to see what deserves the film a good rating of 7.5.
I found out about this film from the social network, I was interested in the phrase “I am ready to put the whole world at her feet, as long as she gave me her soul” with the caption of the film “Seduction”. And after learning the cast, there was no doubt left.
Well, the movie now. They never saw each other and decided to get married. He's Cuban, she's American. And here comes their first meeting. And it's not as they imagined. She didn't send him her picture, and he downplayed his financial situation. At first glance, you feel the intensity of passions, something that connects them.
The acting is beautiful, indisputably. Banderas Charming, courageous, power-hungry and handsome. Jolie appears before us without makeup, which emphasizes her beauty. She is a fraud, and he is passionately in love with her, without realizing it.
The most impressive is Banderas's emotions. He's giving them all in sincerity. It hurts him, it hurts, he goes into all serious. And that's where the fun starts. Pain, deception, betrayal, passion. Emotions that follow each other with unprecedented speed.
The only drawback is a huge number of vulgar scenes. It looks very vulgar and not aesthetic.
I came across this movie by accident. While I’m not a big fan of Antonio Banderas or Angelina, this film really impressed me. I'm impressed with everyone.
Given everything that is happening in it, it is safe to say that the film is heavy and rather confusing, but in fact it has some kind of incomprehensible-light atmosphere, supported by a monotonous peculiar musical accompaniment. The film looks in one breath, I learned that it goes as much as 2 hours after watching.
Very beautifully filmed cities, buildings, unusual singing scenes. Costumes are good, too. But most importantly, this is of course the plot, supported by the impeccable play of the main characters, and not only the main ones. Perhaps movies on this topic are enough, but the writer and director so correctly beat every twist of the plot, every hero, every detail (remember the detail with the ring, and the bird) that the film you will not soon forget. After watching, there is a pleasant aftertaste, a desire to think. The ending is incomparable, fully consistent with the whole film and the image of the main characters.
No, it's not a love story. This is a story about love and its impact on human life. An instructive tale. This is a movie from the category of those old and good who shot without specials and stupid maneuvers that attract the attention of the majority. I really recommend watching it for everyone. There are very few films from which to learn something important. It is sad, of course, that the film was not so popular, but alas in cinema there are enough cases when a really worthwhile film is misunderstood by the audience.
Without hesitation I bet
“Seduction” is a detective dramatic melodrama that turned out to be sensual and sophisticated, and this movie seduces and compromises. There are a lot of sexy scenes in the movie, and I have to say that this movie had one of the most beautiful and chic duets I've ever seen. We see a rich man who is going to marry an American woman, and he thought that she would be a modest and nice ordinary girl, but the one who became his wife was with everything else. Love for her kills, and passion burns from the inside like fire, and we see a sublime and interesting story of love, desire, temptation and an unequivocal story with two bottoms.
Antonio Banderas is an interesting actor and a charming man, and in this film he played well. Angelina Jolie directly publishes sex and desire in this melodrama, and it is impossible to break away from her. Their duet was beautiful and passionate, and they looked really great together. They showed us passion and its floggings and consequences and that any deception and adventure would have a miserable end. The film balances between desire and animal passion, turned into obsession, adventure and deception, a deep need feeling and something beautiful and fiery. Even though the movie failed at the box office, I like it. “Original Sin” is a movie for those who love hot passionate films in which passion, love and sex come first, and then this film will suit you just right. Watch Seduction, and this dramatic melodrama will take you into an extraordinary story of passion, which was a delightful film duo, and together they were undoubtedly the heart and soul of this film, which turned out to be a worthwhile and seductive story.
Until halfway through the movie, I didn’t really expect to like it. And I honestly tried to leave him. However, an unknown force forced me to sit until the end, and I still did not regret it.
Let’s just say it’s not the kind of movie I love. Banderas is not my type of man. But there's definitely a twist on this tape. Perhaps the beautiful Angelina, from whom even I, a girl, find it difficult to look away. Perhaps in our hearts we are all looking for stories of overwhelming love and passion, and it resonates in our hearts. I don't know. All I know for sure is that it’s really worth watching this movie.
I rarely get to truly empathize with the main characters. But the real macho Luis I quite frankly sympathize with the aspect that the heavens did not give him a special mind. Although, hot blood, boiling at the sight of female beauty, quite certainly start the mind behind the mind of our character. He is good for his sincerity, but bad for his impulsivity. He becomes such obedient wax in the hands of a skilled woman that it unwittingly causes pity (well, envy, I think - it is so easy to hound Banderas).
Well, the woman. She is a woman on the one hand - like a real fem fatale. On the other hand, a fragile creature that is difficult to resist adoration. A restless soul who does not understand what she really needs, somewhere stupid, somewhere cowardly, but at the same time knows how to love. Damn it, I'm not a romantic, but I admire it. The second half of the film flew completely unnoticed.
Not Jolie's best acting job, but she showed me her character.
" No matter what the price, you can’t get away from love.
Yes, the price really doesn’t matter when you are overwhelmed with such feelings and emotions. The film is amazing and unique. To be honest, I have never seen this before! The picture is almost on the verge between adult films and a real dramatic masterpiece.
The plot is quite interesting and intriguing, although here it goes in parallel with the beautiful combination of the main characters Antonio Banderos and Angelina Jolie, who are the decoration of the film. The best thing is that there is a successful combination of these actors. They completely, by virtue of their temperaments, convey the entire emotional spectrum from admiration to contempt. And yet this is a film about two, at first glance, similar concepts of “love” and “passion”.
- Love is when you give and want to give more. And passion. Passion is when you take and want to take more. You consume, you devour without logic and without reason. So, you do? Or do you? - Both of them.
But you don’t have time to think about it, think about it and ask at least some questions: the movie pulls you in, making you blink as little as possible, without missing a single moment, and quickly passes through you, so you find your mind and start thinking only after the final credits, and your first thought is “Wow!” What was that?!
I could hardly breathe again calmly and smoothly, for me it was something like an explosion, for which it seemed to be prepared from the very beginning, it was waiting, and then everything around was filled with red, fire, where everything was shimmering in different shades, creating an effect of depth and unbearable agony, and when it seemed that now would fade and everything would turn black from the cooled coals, it lit up with new force, with new brightness and indescribable beauty. So it froze - beautiful and beautiful, in this color bright red passion and love.
In general, this is a film about which there is little to talk, it must be seen, felt, felt. Any words here are simply empty and unnecessary. Look, look, and you will not regret, because there is something to hook, and even the most prime person will drown in this sea of sensations inexpressible in words.
Dramatic and romantic film with great actors in the lead roles, pleasing, however, primarily with its entourage and mood, and not the plot.
The main motive of the film is a fatal passion. A beautiful liar, without knocking enters the life of a practical and moderately cynical businessman, their complex and insane relationship... those who have read many classic novels, do not see anything new here in terms of plot and morality. But the film is still impressive.
Especially at the expense of Jolie. With such non-canonical beauty, and in the opinion of many, and the complete absence of such, she perfectly succeeds in the role of fatal beauties. The point, of course, is inimitable sexuality and expressiveness – Jolie is generally one of my favorite Hollywood actresses, who manages to “pull” even average action films like “Salt”. Well, in "Seduction" it is, of course, great: face, body, and acting.
Antonio Banderas is not inferior to her, playing a strong, but completely mad with passion man.
In short, although this film can not be called a deep philosophical picture, it definitely does not leave indifferent. With such actors, films on such a banal topic as love and passion can be watched endlessly.
The film is dedicated to all seducers and seduced, as well as cynical and inexperienced.
The theme of love in cinema is like minerals for the economy of the country and the world as a whole, are exploited godlessly, brazenly and for no apparent purpose, although the reserves are rapidly depleted and depleted. In one picture a sublime feeling is mocked, in another it is sacrificed, in the third it is enjoyed. In ' Temptation' and love. . . no at all.
Even Erich Fromm in his work hinted to negligent people that ' the art of loving' is not only in the ability, as it turns out, to take and give, but also in the ability to Sacrifice. Not so much yourself as those qualities of character and inclinations that do not allow a person to devote himself to his beloved. It is also the ability, even the desire to renounce your past due to the need to build a new future with your loved one, and not to revive the past model of behavior in new conditions with new components.
If you'll excuse me, Vargas's all-consuming passion is more a tribute to his own, if not lust, then selfish need to satisfy her through illusory love. The hero (the film, I mean) is testing the ancient assertion that attraction and passion are not the equivalent of love. This is a surrogate that has become a bargaining chip between both sexes everywhere. And the desire that a loved one was either with you or under you, in the ground, it completely calls into question your virtuous attitude towards him. Forgiveness as an invariable attribute of love does not always have a beneficent and selfless background, sometimes it speaks in favor of human possession and fear of being left with nothing.
As for the homeless and nameless heroine of the film, her high feeling has even more base roots. Used all her life as bait and bait, experienced by her tyrant friend, the woman had every right to hate everyone and everything, but in the bins of the subconscious there was an irresistible desire that one of the victims of her matrimonial lures turned her view of the world 180 degrees in the direction of love, warmth and virtue. Needless to say, the wounded female ego fell in love not with Vargas himself, but with his tempting offer to be loved.
Throughout the film, it was repeatedly mentioned that the heroine is the devil in the flesh, but is it worth thinking so, because the Lord of the Underworld is an antagonism of good, an entity vicious in nature and unable to do otherwise. Bonnie, on the other hand, was not so much about her nature as reflecting on the verge of obedience to Billy and unwillingness to reconsider her life values. Out of fear of exposing the unexplored sides of her personality, the woman acted as she was accustomed to. And had it not been for Vargas' soulful monologue before his poisoning, the ending would have been more believable and less melodramatic.
I have already mentioned that the picture is saturated with exalted passion and saturated with erotic inserts. The film is positioned as a love story, and there is for some reason much more animal copulation. They made an apple pie, and it turned into a charlotte. Another minus point.
It’s time to talk about actors, that is, people who embody the idea of the director on the screen. If you consider them from this point of view, then you should not find fault with performing skills. You asked for the intensity of passions - this is the intensity of passions. But, to be honest, Banderas’s play struck more than Jolie, although both actors performed in their usual roles. Antonio was human enough to portray a lover, and extremely expressive to embody the image of a hot lover. But the fateful Angelina throughout the film was only fatal Angelina. Her languid manipulation of facial muscles of the face and body became a parable and in many mise-en-scene scenes looked simply inappropriate, if not more. And the manner of portraying his heroine was like an attempt to support the reputation of the Oscar-winning actress (for the capture of which the award Jolie left during filming). Again minus the point, but +1 for Senor Banderas.
The camera work seems to me quite good, that before installation, then here too not weak. Visual means of expression in this film clearly prevail over semantic. Although at first the painful and languishing atmosphere of the exotic Vargas mansion + alarming audio sequence drew a parallel with the film 'Wide Sargasso Sea' - a prequel picture to 'Jane Air'. The same is the extinguishing, the reappearing premonition of some disaster. Tellingly, the manner of depicting the world through the eyes of a depressing Vargas even more disposed to the hero and much less to the heroine, which is also included in the idea of the director. For this picture is awarded +2.
It would seem that everything has already been said: about the idea, actors, atmosphere, music, the general panorama of the film, but how about the interpretation of the genre itself. How much does what you see match what you ask for? The slogan involuntarily evokes a hidden smile, because who better than Banderas is familiar with how evil love jokes are based on the films of Maestro Pedro Almodovar. The great Spaniard’s favorite theme of diffusion of the burning elixir of passion in malleable forms of water is played out by him much more effectively and logically than this experience of Michael Christopher. In any case, burlesque and kitsch comedies, not without a hint of feelings and eroticism, embody this idea much better than an attempt on a serious drama with thriller elements and unjustified heat of passions. As far as we know, the theme of obsession with each other in various proportions played out in similar films, for example, ' Obscene sentence' and ' Fatal attraction'. The latter became in the genre of a melodramatic thriller, if not cult, then at least iconic, and the picture with Redford and Demi Moore generally deserved anti-recognition. It is difficult to say what place among these three to determine ' Seduction', but if, like minerals, in cinema, we begin to squander the theme of love between a man and a woman in an irrational and obscene manner, then the price will be pennies for us and our cinema. I'm done.
The film is not a masterpiece, but it is so nice to watch it. Music, atmosphere: everything is full of romance and passion. I admire Angelina Jolie, especially when she's in those roles. A libertine who wants to love and be loved; a woman in whom two components struggle. Against the background of this struggle, two men appear, who are the external manifestation of the inner conflict of the heroine. Who will win the victory? That's the intrigue.
The film “Seduction” can be attributed to the category of historical thrillers, well, not erotic. But this fact does not diminish the value of this film.
The film about deception and boundless love is played by the magnificent trio Antonio Banderas – Angelina Jolie – Thomas Jane. Each intersection of their characters makes the screen sparkle, but Angelina deserves special praise.
Her Bonnie is both an angel and a demon. In an instant, from a defenseless victim, she turns into a devil manipulating men.
It’s not unusual to see Antonio Banderas as a victim of love, but he’s done a great job. Luis Vargas is the only bright spot in Bonnie’s life, so she, despite everything, is attracted to him.
Thomas Jane played the absolute antihero, but at the same time wildly sexy. For Bonnie, he is more than a lover.
A beautiful historical tape on the theme of love deceit will definitely appeal to fans of “Dangerous Liaisons”, “Vatel”, etc.
Director Michael Christopher, skillfully balancing between genres, shot the tape in the style of classical drama, slightly deceiving the viewer with erotic bait, but the deception succeeded. The film hooked me, but within the framework of an erotic thriller it was a failure.

I think that romantics will certainly appreciate this film, and people with icy hearts will boil blood in their veins.
The film is very beautiful, with a wonderful story of love and passion of two completely different people. It is difficult to describe in detail this picture, it causes a whole bunch of different feelings.
He is a rich bachelor who believes in family values and a happy marriage.
She is a real actress who is ready to get used to any role for the sake of her well-being and will not disdain anything for the sake of achieving her selfish goals.
You might think that the outcome of their meeting is simple - a deceived man left at a broken trough, and a runaway beauty with a lot of money in a bag. But, everything is a little more complicated, as their fates are intertwined by love. And here everything interesting begins: desire, passion, deception, betrayal, despair... What are people willing to do for love? In this picture you can find the answer to this question.
1. Masterful acting. Jolie was born to be a femme fatale. Banderos perfectly conveys the love of his hero, who is completely and unconditionally devoted to the one that his heart has chosen. Thomas Jane is mean and charming - a very vital and believable combination.
2. Strong and vibrant characters. I like movies where the main characters have a number of contradictory qualities, it is interesting to watch their development / fall, to experience their pain / happiness. Self-sufficient, well-written characters will make you worry about their finale.
Julia Russell/Boney Castle is a fallen woman. She is an adventurer, unscrupulous and beautiful. She chases the money of rich men, attracted by her beauty and some depth of personality, which is felt behind manners, words, gestures.
Luis Vargas is a boagy planter who has time to start a family. In his future wife, he sees the mother of his children and the keeper of the hearth, who will become the mistress of his huge house and will not violate the already established way of life there. He's attractive and sophisticated. Louis is calm, does not believe in love, but believes in family values.
Billy. It blows of vice, sin, cowardice, fall. But he's tall, elegant, attractive. From pulling his girlfriend back, into a dirty world, but not without charm. Accidentally or not, the name of the main character, Boni, reminds us of another woman with the same name, a real historical character, sung in the cinema and popular consciousness. Clyde's girlfriend was drinking and enjoying her illegal life as a chronic criminal and adventurer.
What choice will make the heroine of the film “Seduction”, what he will lead her to? The finale will not disappoint you.
This film also has a disadvantage. His name is idealism. Love has no boundaries, and devotion is absolute. How bad it is is for you to decide.
The nerves of human passions in this film are exposed and more than once they are ready to burst from pain, surprise, tension, inconsistency. But each of the main characters goes to the end. What will be the choice and the final - I advise you to see in person.

I downloaded a torrent movie. I thought I might be surprised by the strange Jolie-Banderas couple. Not surprising.
A film about passion, and watching it is boring. For acrobatic sketches in bed, of course, you can applaud, only to passion it has absolutely nothing to do. From the series: "Make me beautiful." In another film, the usual kiss of the hand looks much more exciting.
But Jolie's sponges and eyes are available, and Banderas is still macho. And in general, the film is surprisingly faceless and memorable, for nothing that the stars are involved.
The film of Michael Christopher was supposed to return Banderas the image of his hero-lover, and returned the image of a joke lover, a simpleton lover, although on the other hand these roles were known to Banderas even in Spain. But Jolie is beautiful and exciting. For this and only for this film receives 8 points. Original
