Yakut curse You look at the poster and think: um, Russian filmmakers shot a soy version of the legendary “Curse” and now the domestic viewer will be frightened by dead Kazakhs. Or dead brownies... Or dead yakuts...
In fact, everything is not quite so, because the poster of this picture does not correspond to the filling of the film.
So, a certain girl Alena flies to Yakutsk and tries to find her mother. For this case, she goes into the wilderness and learns terrible (I would even say very terrible) secrets about her past.
Well, the description seems to attract attention, plus the viewer can "pluck" on the provincial flavor, but the implementation of the plan conceived by the director is, to put it mildly, not impressive.
You can start by saying that these are not horrors at all, and anyone who buys a promising poster will be brutally deceived. When viewing, there was a feeling that nothing was happening on the screen for too long. When I looked at the timeline, it was 53 minutes into the movie. And during this time it was possible to see only not quite clear movements of a couple of main characters in the frame.
There is a hint of mysticism associated with folklore (although I am not sure that there is a similar theme shown here among the Yakut people), but it turns out to be very clumsy and implausible. Adults scare the younger Yakut babaika, come up with a terrible legend and at the same time the maximum that the development of the plot is enough is to escape to the night forest.
85 minutes of timekeeping, but all that the creators fit at this time – a kind of scene from the famous program “Wait for me”, where there is a meeting of people who have not seen each other for many years.
A significant disadvantage is dubbing. Initially, the hearing did not cut, but then became different and dissynchrones in the movement of the lips with the spoken words, plus the voices chosen for dubbing do not correlate with the characters. They seem unnatural and not organic in conjunction with those characters who pronounce these words.
Moreover, the dialogues themselves are not primitive, but not real. It is difficult to imagine that this is how the characters talk to each other, people will talk in everyday life.
Acting game leaves much to be desired - none of the participants in this project it is not worthy (the word is impressive and not necessary to speak). Alena, whose role was played by Violetta Khristoforov, is weak. If she was taken to the role of a weak silent doll, then yes, she played for the 5+. The same can be said for others.
You know, what's going on in the movie is very much like one person trying to get another person on camera saying, "You know, show me the fright, imagine someone tickling you in the dark when there's no one in the room." And the one who should portray the fright is trying to understand: how to do it?! It doesn't look professional! A vivid example: the episode with Alena in the house, where her new friend brought her: zero fear, zero anxiety, zero experience!
The motives and actions of the heroes are not clear. And here you can make a discount on primitive dialogue, but in fact the motives and actions of the characters are not clear. I left because I thought it was because of me. You know, the turkey also thought, but got into the soup.
