The movie is good, kind. For family viewing and positive charge it is. The cast is wonderful. Only, dear Kinonavigator, Yaglych is not there and was not. Thanks for the recommendation.
We're not playing ice. We play for the kids. We have no right to let them down.
I noticed that recently, films with winter competitions have become more frequent: hockey, figure skating. And if “Ice” is what I expected, it’s a classic film with a romantic component. The Hockey Dads promised a mix of comedy and a bit of drama (which they did).
The plot is simple, contains a bit of a fairy tale, especially towards the end, when everything is as good as possible for the characters. But the beginning is more than standard – we have a group of characters that challenges “evil” (in the person of actor Yuri Chursin, once again playing a kind of villain), and the next hour and a half pass in an attempt to prepare for the final battle. In parallel with this, the story still added a family drama: both with the wife of the main character and with secondary characters, for example, the same Mikhail Porechenkov. Somewhere it turned out a little clumsy, at some points even cried to the mood. By the end, of course, as with Ice, there was a slight smile on his face. I could call the film a bit licked out because of the clear picture, squishy because of how well the characters are doing in the process and directly in the finale of the film. A little absurd because of some moments that do not spoil the film. And a little too long - two hours could have been shortened because (personally in my opinion) some scenes were unnecessary. This is like the case with the old “Vytrotas”, where for most of the film Mila Jovovich sang and danced, and the audience waited for football and the same comedy to begin. The Hockey Dads have it more verified and no sense of complete uselessness of a huge storyline. I just wanted it a little shorter to develop other scenes.
The characters themselves are not to say that they are already believable. This can be said mainly about the same Porechenkov - his hero is an average major, who tries to solve everything with money and teaches the same to his son. We catch a glimpse of the problem of fathers and children, which seems to go through the whole film with a red thread, and by the end you look - already thinned. The main character - Alexei Bardukov seems to play, and sometimes very often in scenes rolls his eyes, sighs sadly, and he slightly lacks the coaching tight grip that logically should lead the team to victory. Porechenkov’s opponent is an ordinary man who, in contrast, teaches his son that not all money decides, even looks more alive and truthful. I liked the geometry teacher: for me, it is difficult to play such a clumsy and insecure person who gradually opens up. And here he is still insecure, but with his own zest, and also useful to the team!
You drew them a fairy tale about these ... cool hockey players and yourself believed in it.
Anna Chipovskaya... I like this actress, but she has all the roles in the same way. After her childhood game in “Operation Color of the Nation”, I honestly waited for many years for something more professional, but she is good at sighing, licking her lips. A kind of Bella Swan of our cinema, may the fans forgive me. Her line seemed long and kind of boring, despite the theme of the scenes. Not enough pepper. Honestly, even the son on her background seemed more perceptive and smarter, Anna turned out some kind of illogical character.
I'll also celebrate the soundtrack. I really liked the music here! It's unobtrusive, but on the subject. The song about “hockey dads” now somehow will not be remembered, the words flew quickly, but after it, some pleasant aftertaste. The picture, as I said, is neat, beautiful, everything is as it should be, it is nice to watch. There's even a dramatic scene that made you hold your breath. And here again weaves together at the same time sports drama and the drama of fathers and children. Here to unfold the scene, to reveal the very essence of the film ... But somehow they cut again to please Chipovskaya, who sighs languidly into the microphone. A little self-help, a beautiful scene in a hockey box on the night. I liked the character of Daniil Vakhrushev – this is where you feel dislike and pity at the same time, and in the end, some pride. Although this is still a family film, everything will end here, if not well, then gently. But the intrigue with the main villain for me personally seemed a little unexpected. As they say, the one, not the one. The main theme is the same: we help each other, stick together, and then we overcome everything, even enemies with money.
Do you understand? Our team is just like this bus. If we do not push him together, we will not reach the finish line.
In general, the film really tells a beautiful fairy tale about the love of parents for their children, the support of relatives and passing by in a difficult moment. The way the characters support each other is touching - when even seemingly rivals do not just communicate forcedly, but help each other and at the same time change inside. A good film for family viewing, and not only with parents, but also grandparents. I certainly didn’t lose time watching.
Well, don't you realize that family is when people talk to each other? When they trust each other. Anything can be overcome together.
I'll be honest. I began to watch the film on the recommendation of the Navigator and at first thought that this was another piece of shit shot on people’s money. But it turned out to be quite a fairy tale for family viewing. In the comments, I saw that the film was accused of propaganda. If this is propaganda of the victory of good over evil, propaganda of the achievement of victory, propaganda of a healthy lifestyle, then I have nothing against it. It is this propaganda that we have been missing for more than 30 years. We do not repent for the imaginary sins of our fathers and grandfathers. . .
Rating 8.2, confident top 250 Film Search, top 10 most popular films.
Attention, spoilers.
Do you think the Cinema Foundation could? In fact, the film turned out to be as sleek, as correct as possible, as good as possible.
The main problem with the film is that most of the "Dad" in the film is not revealed. Who is Vitaly Evgenievich, except that he is a typical know-it-all? Artem, who got into the team because he's great at delivering pizza, attas. Porechenkov's role is unclear. You can see that he even has his own personal driver, a man with money, but instead of helping the team with finances (or renting a bus), he just distances himself from the team, saying that it is not my problem. The moment of self-sacrifice is also more comical. Initially, they know that the bus can explode at any time and still start moving inexplicably where and why.
The organization of matches of the Night Hockey League (with the main prize of 100 million rubles) deserves special attention. The authorities do not provide any ice arenas, say, play on the playgrounds (semi-final match).
It is not clear why the main character’s wife is given attention in the film. Why should I be interested in a story about how it works for Autoradio?
There are so many clichés that catch your eye. A little kid? It's a mascot. Kids match? To the modern Soviet song in the style of "Teach in school." Did the protagonist fight with his wife? Obviously they were together in the end. Is the team in a dead end? In a minute, after the speech about the “importance of everyone”, everything is decided.
This film does not stand out, I watched the series and forgot.
6 out of 10
Recently began to shoot a lot about hockey, which I as a fan and cinema, and this wonderful sport is very pleased.
Not passed by me and only the released picture with a talking name - Hockey Dads.
This is a truly kind family film about the strongest feeling in the world: the love of a parent for his child. And even though the children themselves in the film were not shown so much (the film is still about dads), but through the actions of the fathers, filmmakers managed to show how unconditional this feeling is. Parents in order for their children to continue playing hockey, put everything on the line: someone’s career, someone’s relationship with his wife, and someone was even willing to risk their lives.
The film itself is very kind and naive, but such a movie is very much lacking, especially in the atmosphere of holidays, when faith in miracles becomes a little stronger.
It is on faith in the miracle that the popes create a team in the NHL: to compete for the main prize - 100,000,000 rubles for the construction of an ice palace. The NHL, as you know, is not an overseas league, but our amateur, Night League. I think this film was made to promote it. In my opinion, advertising is more than successful.
However, hockey fans joke about the identity of the acronym with another NHL. In the film and on her account there is a small Easter egg. For a reason, I think, the color palette of the team from the American NHL - Colorado Avalanche was chosen. It is very similar to the shape of their players. This is a team that for a very long time and painfully went to the main prize - the Stanley Cup and just took it in the same year as the action of the Hockey Dads.
The Popes also have a difficult path from the outsiders of the amateur league to a dangerous opponent.
During the film, the characters get into difficult situations, from which they grow and become stronger. And that's really nicely shown by the director. Take, for example, the scene when a still-divided team quarrels on the bus on the way home after a defeat and suddenly the bus breaks down. Then Andrei, the main character, clearly shows that one person can not push a huge bus to start with a push, but when the whole team leans on him, the car starts and goes. An example may be beaten, but the film works well.
Or when Andrei shows the goalkeeper on the example of his own car, how important it is to be a helmsman in his life and how to treat someone else with care. Unfortunately, I cannot describe the scene in more detail, otherwise I will spoil a strong moment, but believe me, when you watch it, you will not miss it.
I like the scenes where people help people. Especially when it would seem that everything is over, but one small kind support helps not to give up and continue.
All these actions revive faith in humanity and improve mood. Very touching.
I am also delighted with the final twist with the antagonist. I really did not guess who the main villain in this film was, because all the threads cunningly led in a different direction and did not cause doubt.
Despite the fact that the popes came to me, I cannot but mention the roughness.
I, for example, lacked personal stories of other heroes.
Because of this, some of them turned out a little cardboard and faceless. Like Igor. Since he is the main antihero, his personal motives are important. It's not just about profit. There are a lot of unsolved questions: why didn’t he play hockey in Moscow? Why did he quit his professional career and go into business? What is his personal pain? Or, Artem. What is his father sick about? How much money is needed for treatment and will it help? I think it would be enough to have a small scene where he worked so hard and collected his father for treatment. And so the arch with him was not pressed, in my opinion, and his motivation from this looks unconvincing. Not revealed and as the character of Paul, the best friend of the protagonist and father of many children. Why is he taking his kids with him to practice? What is his story, what is his story, I would like to know more.
I liked the relationship between rich and poor dad. It was a development from confrontation to friendship through situations. But it is not clear why rich dad is rich, where he works and why all his personal money has his boss.
Mathematical dad is also an interesting character. The film only casually mentions that he is engaged in studying the schemes of the enemy and helps in the development of schemes for his team. But for some reason it was revealed only in the final.
Also for me remained undisclosed the topic of relations between Andrei and his wife. He did nothing at all to correct the situation in the family and his wife miraculously did not go to another.
The way the women in the film are portrayed, I liked it. These are empathetic and empathetic wives who spend the money saved for years on a fur coat on equipment for her husband, and provide maximum support without breaking through the knee and manipulating, which is full of other Russian films.
In general, the fact that the characters are not fully disclosed, against the background of the project itself, is not such a serious drawback to lower the rating, because the film was shot perfectly, with a soul. The director even paid tribute to his hometown - the film takes place there. Operator’s work, color correction, concise and sometimes strong dialogues and monologues – all this worked out.
Thank you for a really good and bright film about hockey and about the love of dads for children.
With this film happened just the Breakthrough of the year, although, I remember, the previously released innovative “Challenge” already promised to lift us to heaven. However, whatever you say, and fiction remains just someone's fiction (sometimes brilliant), or the case "based on real events." It is not that the plot of Hockey Dads is based on a real case of heroic victory of (non-)athletes in important competitions of the country, but the situation in which the heroes of this story find themselves looks very plausible and finds a response in the soul of many, many potential viewers. After all, in addition to sports, family values, the desire to become successful, and the desire to be loved get along well here. So the original sports drama has a lot of themes that can inspire empathy. In the age of high technology and impressive special effects, it is sometimes useful to see something so mundane, and besides close and native, as this soulful Our cinema.
The sudden influx of patriotic feelings, formed on the wave of the awakening of Russian cinema (though it is not clear in what mood he woke up after so many years of protracted hibernation), should eventually result in something, and now it seems to have happened. Almost at the beginning of the first month of winter, the Hockey Dads burst into cinemas with a firm desire to win not only within their plot, but also in the Russian film distribution market. Special attention was paid to the film and sports figures, and even the head of the company “Norilsk Nickel”, the general partner of the Russian hockey Federation. Having arranged a business trip for the film crew in the suburban city of Klin, the director, Andrei Bulatov, thereby not only pleased the audience with views of Russian land, but also made the Klintsyans pleasant, making them participants in their project. Having enlisted the support of his future viewers, as well as received permission to shoot in the V. Kharlamov Ice Palace, Andrei began to create his almost New Year's story about goodness and success, inseparable from the family.
It is necessary to give credit to the creators that in the process of turning the material into a full-fledged picture, they did not participate in the race “who will surpass Hollywood”. The film did not spoil at all, but on the contrary acquired a national flavor without a single thought that somewhere in the west its double is spinning. Of course, a certain number of sports dramas on such topics exist abroad, but the degree of their influence on our souls is unlikely to reach the proper level. Who has ever fought to win for their children? Isn’t it all about making your own success the most important thing? Here is the reason that makes the meaning of "Hockey Dads" different from their one-themed counterparts. While our eyes with undisguised interest watch the unfolding battles on the ice, the brain absorbs useful information about the importance of mutual assistance, trust and friendship in human life. The film does not just contain the word “dads” in the title. It is the popes and their relationship with their sons that are brought to the forefront. This is something that can and should be imitated in real life.
The merits of the film do not end there. Viewers tired of the eternal glamour on the screen, as if the world outside the realm of big money, if there is, only a basement, will finally be able to see people like themselves and not recoil in horror at what they saw. Popes are not positioned as superheroes, but their characters are not taken to the extreme of decline and decay of personality. Between the lines, you can catch which of them is what, but these characteristics are deliberately not protruding. After all, the purpose of the film is not to “lower” and then “lift”, here everything is much deeper. Parental feelings matter most. And it was very right that they did not burden history with conflicts between fathers and children. I'm tired. Instead, the original correct behavior is presented very freshly. Even the antagonist should take a closer look, because he broadcasts his “bad” behavior not just from the soul of the villain.
Multi-movement plots were the most unexpected element in the so-called simple comedy sports drama. Especially considering that our audience is not really counting on a good movie. So, the success of the picture lies partly in this. The less you wait, the stronger the climax gets... no, not at all in the final, as is customary, but in almost every episode. Passions are heating up at such a speed that two hours seem not enough to embrace so many events. Nevertheless, there was enough time and talent of the writer and director, who could calculate each scene up to a second and put a strong emotion into it. The feeling of viewing is really indescribable.
And sport here, by the way, is not in last place. Hockey's a lot. All fights are accompanied by excellent personnel, for which I thank the operator - performed at the highest level. The film eventually becomes a model for the mass influx of children and adolescent audiences into cinemas in groups from sports institutions or together with parents. Culture should foster interest not only in the arts but also in sports as an integral part of a healthy society. If not everyone is allowed to fly into space, then sports sections are open for everyone. Those who are closer to art, in turn, will have something to learn from Bulatov.
Although in his career as a director there are not many films and mostly short films, but any of these works are worthy of attention. Andrey manages to shoot not just an entertaining movie, but a movie with meaning. The overall clear structure of the plots, where there is not a single extra scene and all the characters are interesting, including secondary ones, as well as the harmony of the picture, music and editing (for which we thank Irina Dolmat) causes aesthetic pleasure and says only one thing - this director has a talent that can bring our cinema to a new level of quality. Now, by some miracle, Bulatov managed to make his way to the big screen with his own film, where he appeared in a double role as a director / actor, as will be the next question. We can only hope that nothing will prevent him from pleasing the audience in the future. In the meantime, his film Hockey Dads deserves only high praise and a mandatory recommendation for viewing.
December is a great time for the release of warm, cozy, lamp-filled Christmas movies.
Hockey dads are one of them.
The plot is not complicated - it fully fits into the "Morphology of a fairy tale" and even more so into the morphology of a movie fairy tale.
The antagonist (Igor) wants to destroy the Ice Palace, in which children's hockey teams are trained in the city of Sosnovy Bor (near St. Petersburg, where the nuclear power plant, but it does not appear). One of the coaches, Andrey, (I think he is not alone there, because he has children of one year in the form of training – it means training for years), the most caring, agrees that he creates the NHL team (which is not the NHL, but the Night Hockey League). This team should reach the finals of the NHL tournament, it has a prize of 100 million and for these millions the team buys the rink from the businessman. Then everything goes according to the canon of any fairy tale. There are problems, they are overcome as in a fairy tale and everything is as befits the genre of a fairy tale and ends.
But the entourage of the fairy tale is not princes on horses, not rejuvenating apples and go there, I do not know where, but a beautiful game - hockey. And, perhaps, it is even good that the tone was originally set fabulous. Here is the reality that at the beginning of the film - hockey children's locker rooms, showdowns between parents, which reflect the children, a giant stratification of parents' wealth (in hockey it is very felt) - this is enough in life. The dialogues were painfully familiar. An additional bonus in the film are cameos of famous hockey players of the USSR, modern hockey bloggers and commentators. I will not write names, because they are not listed on the film search even in the full list of actors, probably this should be a surprise. Also in the film small roles in Polina Gagarina and Denis Klyaver. There is an unobtrusive promotion of the Hockey Channel (VHL, Night League, MHL, etc. it usually broadcasts)., product placement of hockey companies.
Grumble about the reality of what's happening is like talking about Shrek's reality. It is clear that men 40+, very large, like that, from scratch will not race with the speed of young men and the skill of the KHL, that (not every) wife will not get an envelope "on a fur coat, do not touch" for the sake of a helmet, etc. And certainly not leave Moscow. But how much kindness, friendship, loyalty in this film.
Even obvious borrowings (okay, homages) from Legend 17, Mysteries of Alaska (the very idea of a dispute between a coach from the town with a stronger team from the capital), Youth, etc. the film does not spoil.
Separately pleased with the selection of songs in the film. Hockey dads' song on the way to the first game - thank you for popularizing this beautiful song (I can see that some of the comments on YouTube are 'I'm after the movie').
Disadvantages are the continuation of merit. With the desire to happily finish all the lines of the film, the authors overdid. Sometimes it's molasses. Well, some plot moves are already hyperfiction. It was then necessary to transfer the place of action to the thirtieth kingdom.
