Classic detective, pleasantly surprised I didn’t expect anything good from this movie. To confess, just looking for a detective in the style of Ustinova. At the same time, all the best works have already been viewed, and went deep into the wilds, where the quality of films is, unfortunately, not at the top. I came across this film, and since there was no choice, I even decided to watch a picture of the Soviet past. Not that I do not like movies about the USSR, just prefer about this era to watch films in this era and made, knowing how modern & #39; filmmakers & #39; like to slightly pour this period of our history with unpleasant substances.
In general, the film was very surprised and very pleasant. I think it deserves the highest praise for its class and budget. The actors played very well, the plot is very well thought out (some blogger said that there are no unnecessary scenes in a good film, this film is just such).
Over the course of the film, he waited for predictable twists and turns several times. At first I thought that the expected pressure on the main characters will be crowned with success (it is also bloody 'sowk'!) - I did not guess. I did not think that the murderer would be punished (mostly). I thought that it was immediately clear who the killer was - again I did not guess (the film in this regard is built on the classics of the detective). I thought that the title 'Women's Sentence' is a typical allegory for women's films about the difficult female share and the struggle with malicious mobsters, but no - the title simply states the fact: women are sentenced, that's all. I was afraid that on the wave of trends of feminism (which, however, is more inherent in foreign paintings, but also begins to appear in our country), only women will do all the good, and men will either be villains or not influence the plot in any way, but even this in the end turned out to be wrong - the men distinguished themselves and made their contribution. Of course, all the main for the denouement was done by women, but this, after all, is a female movie. The main thing is not to go to extremes, as in modern American TV series, where women decide fate, and men are like little helpless children or weak-willed drones.
I also liked the idea of the Soviet era: without any movements for equal rights, a woman could always occupy an important position, drive a car, solve complex problems (not only on the screen, but also in life). Do not think that I single out this as something unnatural, just a little dejected by modern foreign stories, which are very obsessively agitate for women’s rights, from which it is not difficult to conclude that they are there with these rights – so-so. I liked the detail - various artifacts of those times (players for records, pens, telephones).
And, of course, I liked the message of the film. It is necessary to think more often about society, and not only about your own - about the personal, and then there will be no tragedies against which people are powerless, remaining with them one on one.
I know the movie isn't perfect. As always in domestic TV series, somewhere the actors slightly overplay, some plot twists seem somewhat far-fetched. The plot in terms of cinematography is simple (no references, Easter eggs, double meanings, philosophical bias and an open ending). But one thing I can say for sure: to the bottom, which reached the domestic big screen, this mini-series is far away. And considering what I have already written, the low budget and the format of this creation, even better this film could hardly be.
Thank you to the author of the book and the film. Everything is at the top!
