Going after a dream It should be noted that this film is made for children, adults can watch it only accompanied by minor relatives.
'Ivan Semyonov: The Great Campaign' is an adventure comedy about friendship and mutual assistance. We watched with an eight-year-old son, he liked it, and I had more positive impressions after watching it, because kindness will save the world, and the movie was good, albeit in many ways naive.
The plot is simple and uncomplicated: the main character does not want his motherfucker (or 'krush', depending on what century you were born) to go to study in Moscow. To solve his problem, he gathers friends and sets out in search of Mount Shamanka, where he believes a wish-fulfilling Shaman (not a singer) lives. The logic is clear, the goal is indicated, it remains only to overcome the mandatory obstacles in the form of a grotesque villain, village hooligans and impassable swamps of the Perm region.
The main characters are spelled out quite well, each stands out for his character - a leader-turned-on, a simpleton-big guy, a smart-ass-dog and a bully-joker. The secondary characters are also quite original, ' passable' not seen in the frame. Everyone talks like cartoon characters of Perm KVN teams, which is not surprising, since many roles are performed by KVN players. A joke in the film in bulk (comedy, after all), but not all children will understand the references to ' Game of Thrones' Tom Cruise and others ' Adult' cinematic heritage. Apparently, all this was added so that adults do not get bored when watching.
The picture in the film pleases the eye with the beauty of the above-mentioned region: fields, mountains, forests, caves, rivers - everything causes a desire to collect a hiking backpack and walk around the places shown. Edit here 'clip ', with sharp frame changes and many inserts, which adds to the film dynamics. The story looks quite holistic, it is not a set of miniatures, as it often happens in domestic comedies.
Who will be interested in this picture? Children from 8 to 16 years old, as well as fans of Perm humor (KVN team 'Parma', 'Perm Krai Team', TV series 'Real boys'), in addition to many familiar faces in the frame, Anton Bogdanov also directed. The film offers the viewer to reflect on what friendship is, how to make the right choice and that any actions have consequences. A light, cheerful children's comedy that leaves a good mood behind.
