A brief description and poster of the film promise us at least interesting sword fights, perhaps not an unambiguous hero and believable cruelty typical of Korean cinema, but we get. .
Plot
Well, a couple of sentences describe it. Tired warrior due to heart disease decides... No, not quit the trade, but find a cure. That's a good one! Which collapses 15 minutes from the start. Arriving in the city, the hero notices that the woman is being bullied, and judging by the conversation, rapists. The hero steps in, but he has no weapons and is beaten. Change of frame, he's on his way to her house with a woman. And the rapists? Or are they just... Are you kidding me? And now it begins, comedy. Yeah, that's her. And the comedy is so not funny that I want to turn off this farce. And here in the plot woven a local judge and his assistant, who act out fools. At the end, 20 minutes, we are waiting for action and touched on the continuation, but... No need, more boring 1:40 time I will not survive.
How'd it go?
Terrible. And in this "as filmed", I want to include also the work of costumers, make-up artists, cameramen, directors, etc. No interesting footage, except for a shot of the fight at the beginning behind a white screen. That’s where I was hoping for a good movie. The environment is dead, there is no work with light. In one shot, where for some reason take a view from the eyes of the protagonist, you can see that the light is electric.
The film is just terrible, it's amazing that it has such a high rating. At the same time, the description states a certain period in the history of Korea. And in the film, you can at least describe in two sentences what period it came? No, read Wikipedia. Don’t waste your time, take a look. A stone? Water? Better than that.
