An interesting reading of Kafka A rather unusual adaptation of the work of Franz Kafka “Transformation”.
Marty, the main character of the picture is an ordinary working guy, works in the office and suffers the unpleasant antics of his evil boss Malik Basirovich. The only consolation in his humble life is his girlfriend Evelina. When Marty accidentally finds out about her affair with her boss, it becomes the last straw for him.
I found it quite interesting how the filmmakers decided to show the idea of changing the mental state of the protagonist through his visual transformation. His appearance of the Nothingness becomes the physical embodiment of his inner state. He's not Marty any more, he's the Noble. He commits vile acts and in the end through spiritual purification comes spiritual harmony.
I watched this film at a student festival and for all its technical flaws (poor sound quality, sometimes because of this you can not hear the characters' lines), I was satisfied. The movie "Nothing" is definitely worth watching.
