Best Performance by Cassandra Peterson " "Allan Quatermane and the Lost Golden City"" was filmed based on Haggard's novella, which is simply called "Quothermaine". The plot has been changed, but overall the main narrative key is retained. So in the book, Quartermain was elderly, and was not the main character, besides, in the end he died. The heroine Sharon Stone was not at all, the main opponent was not Agon, but Queen Sorais. Despite this, the script was made good, but its execution frankly pumped.
The film was shot in a hurry, and it features a huge number of blunders, such as unhidden cables, that hold the protagonist during his jump. Cinematography is also not at the top, although directorial work and drama are better than the first film.
The high-level acting genre of the film does not require, and it is strictly not worth judging the performers, which did not prevent Stone from getting the Golden Raspberry. I didn’t find her acting too bad, nor did the other actors.
The one who really impressed me was Queen Sorais by Cassandra Peterson. Just a stunning image, a real sultry woman - a poet's dream!
This is what queens should look like, especially evil ones. It is a pity just screen time she was given very little, especially since according to the book, it is she who confronts the other heroes. In addition, during the whole film, she does not say a word, only at the end she erotically screams before falling into the melted gold. But that’s enough to make a movie.
