The most boring detective story We'll have to start with a single plus, because there won't be any more. The only thing that really attracted the film was the erotic scenes. There was a time when such scenes were excited without outright nudity, they were able to shoot. These days, without candid nudity shots, it is impossible to get the viewer to concentrate on the screen. Despite the fact that the actors in the film "Compromise" are not distinguished by any special sexual appearance. Theresa Russell’s impressively candid play was enough to turn bed scenes into something more worthy of attention than just filmed sex.
The rest of it's downsides. Playing actors leaves much to be desired. If it were not for Teresa Russell, then you could safely write off a casting specialist for retirement. Adam Baldwin with such a name should have been more than on top, the more interesting role he has – confused in his personal life husband who does not want to leave his wife, but passionately in love with the fatal beauty, met him during a business trip. Supporting actors should not be discussed at all, too low level.
The plot itself resembles an unfinished detective, which does not keep in suspense. Sometimes the film makes you guess the mystery along with the main characters, and then without interest and enthusiasm you sit and watch the development of the plot, which, frankly, is too simple.
And the last downside is the ending. It is not clear who to blame – the screenwriter or the director, but the ending of the film is an opportunity to smooth out the impression of watching a bad film or, on the contrary, kill any sympathy from a stunning picture at first sight. In this case, the ending was the whole film.
