Predictions of the Future and Love In 1990, the very popular and now the film "Ghost" and many loved the melodramatic beauty-brunette Demi Moore and already in 1991 in her career there are as many as three pictures, which, however, did not add to her fame (perhaps the failures of the two previous tapes made Demi Moore change his face, as they say, on the farth?), and "The butcher's wife" just gave rise to critics with humor to nominate the "Murkhaya" category. I don’t quite agree with this, but apparently in the 90s of the last century even such roles were considered bad, in our time of commercial cinema there are a huge number of roles worse than this.
So, Demi Moore is a soothsayer who marries a butcher, having decided that the signs point to this good-natured, but stupid slob (played by George Dzundza). With her candor and ability to inspire people to believe in a bright future, the heroine finds many people grateful to her, mostly female, but one psychologist (Jeff Daniels) does not believe in predictions and goes crazy because many of his friends, again mostly women, radically change their lives after the words of the butcher's wife.
This is not the most banal plot, there are bits of interesting ideas in it, just they were revealed rather weakly, which is why we are witnessing an easy romantic melodrama with pre-readable script moves. "The Butcher's Wife" - a rather viscous female film, sometimes drawn out and superficial, and the tandem Moor-Daniels as on dogs to Mars in comparison with the amorphous (even so!) tandem Moor-Swayze. And let the above - quite bad, but in the tape there are pleasant notes that give notes of seduction and tenderness, some invisible sunlight and morning freshness. If you are the owner of a romantic mood at the moment when you want to look at something to suit him, then the film will like, if the mood is not that, it is better to postpone the viewing.
"The Butcher's Wife" will become a passing one-time film, but so cozy and kind that you will not want to criticize it much, despite all the flaws in the tape.
