Dracula versus atheist The fourth, but not the last terrible tale about the bloodsucking count from the British studio Hammer. Unfortunately, this time without Van Helsing performed by Peter Cushing. With the fight against the monster came Bishop Muller and his young atheist friend.
It's been a year since Dracula drowned in a mountain river. However, the inhabitants of the small village, including the priest, still shake with fear, living in the ominous shadow of the count's castle. Arriving from the city, Monsignor Müller wants to finally restore peace to the souls of the flock, and therefore seals the castle of Dracula with a cross. But by chance, the count rises from his ice box. Now his dream is to take revenge on the bishop. The path chosen is insidious: turn the beloved niece of the monsignor into a ghoul. The unwitting opponent of the count becomes the bridegroom of the girl, who does not believe in either God or devil.
Christopher Lee is a beautiful count. He, like no other, can stand in an ominous colored marsh, sparkling with his eyes. Charming is the niece of Bishop Veronica Carson. She seems to be the main character of the story.
The film was supposed to be directed by Terence Fisher, but he was in an accident and was replaced by cameraman Freddie Francis.
A great pleasure will receive not only fans of Gothic stories, but also lovers of finding film blunders, which in this picture abound. But as one of the heroes of the story said, “Really?” Why would she? If you want to succeed in life, forget about the truth.
