Walking around Prague with Franco Nero - Maybe Anna-Lisa's still alive. She didn't kill herself. She was shot.
- I think you made it up. . .
At one time, Roy Scheider did not believe that his hero Vronsky would return to Southeast Asia for another, in the millstone of the war. So he turned down a role in Deer Hunter. Who knows how justified these doubts are? Robert De Niro had no such doubts. And the movie was a success.
I had the same doubts when I watched this little-known movie. The film revolves around the arrival of Franco Nero in Prague. And the picture contains many wonderful Prague attractions, which are studied by the character Nero: Old Town, Charles Bridge, Prague Small Town, Prague Metro. . .
15 years ago, a man left the city under very strange circumstances. Now he decided to go back and try to unearth the stashes of the past. And it's not that easy.
And this is the most significant flaw of the tape. Franco Nero did not convince me of the reasons for his change of interest. Then he spent many years in fear and hermitage, then began to show courage and resourcefulness, courage and perseverance. A large portrait was needed, an explanation of the internal trigger and other significant factors. Maybe here, like Borges, in the "Yuga" - the hero fell mortally ill and decided to act. There is no such thing as a disease.
Thus, most of the tape is blurred. A man is looking for lost memories. He recalls strange criminal inconsistencies. There's no intrigue. There are no bright episodes.
The ending is amazing. He unexpectedly refers us to the hero of James Woods and the film “Once Upon a Time in America”. Mentioned and secret organization, and espionage, and passion. Perhaps these turns are interesting in themselves, but not in this tape. It was all too bad before that.
Very boring. I don't recommend
