Pimps are not born, they become. The year 1983. Dr. Detroit
In principle, the rating of the film corresponds to its content, but I was surprised to see only one review. The film is actually not bad, and I’m sure it didn’t go unnoticed.
The first thing I would like to note is an interesting story, full of funny moments. It is unlikely that anyone will laugh much, but this light humor very organically fits into the images of the characters, and enhances the overall effect.
The second is acting. Before starting to catch ghosts, Dan Ackroyd tried out in various genres - from horror to action films. But it looks best in a humorous role. And in this comedy, he showed how organically he looks in humor.
Thirdly, pretty good jokes. Now, of course, they will not cause wild laughter, but a smile will appear repeatedly. A lot of things are stupid, even outright nonsense, but let’s write it off as 1983. Then such things were considered the norm and were very popular.
Not a bad movie, but I was not impressed. Love the early works of Dan Ackroyd and slightly silly comedies of the 80s.
