During the Civil War, Jeff Travis fought on the Confederate side in the infamous Quantrill squad. After the war, he is wanted, but thanks to an old friend Josie Sullivan once again leaves the killers. He travels to Arizona to meet his former associates, who have become ordinary robbers. But Travis is tired of robberies and murders and stands up to his former comrades.
Another western, which became the fruit of the cooperation of director Andre De Toth and star of the genre Randolph Scott. And I must say, very average level. The film was one of the first westerns to use the newfangled 3-D technology. So there are attempts to use it such as throwing objects into the camera during a fight, etc. It doesn't look like much.
Despite the fact that the picture can boast a good cast (besides Scott, this is the villainous George McRedi, Lee Marvin and Ernest Borgnine in small roles, as well as Claire Trevor and Joan Weldon in the form of the hero’s love interests), the story itself seems poorly sewn, and some awkward scenes and 3-D tricks are also annoying.
Very ordinary western. So, due to the acting ensemble, it's once to watch and forget.
