Double standards ... systems and perceptions Strangely or not, this film, which we had in the course of the year and the coming years after its release, was overlooked. I thought, who else saw him besides us? I think so. Though reviews, reviews are not spoiled.
"Expert" 1995. It's a common name for those days. And with that title could be called any film of that era. This implies that the expert is John Lomax, who is in charge of martial arts. But there may also be what an expert might have been thought of as a brutally dangerous subject—the embodiment of evil, not the picture devil Kagan. He memorized the whole criminal law and the judicial system in particular. In fact, we immediately get to understand that this maniac is first-rate. But Kagan twists everything in such a way that with only the letter of the law at hand, he simply cannot be considered insane. Kagan became an abuser for Lomax, whose job is to train young police officers (but you can read about it right here, so...).
The value system of being has taught us that the good is white and the bad is black. All the edges are gone here. And if we talk about morality, it is gray and everyone has their own. This can be seen in the example of the prison chief. His words addressed to Bobby Lee are, on the one hand, like a sword of retribution, literate and faithful, and everyone would with an easy readiness in their hearts wish to say to all those monsters who have fallen under the sword of Damocles and are waiting for the verdict; but on the other hand, these words and the behavior of the superior simply nailed to the chair, if you just think about them and look at them from the position of a suicide bomber. What right has he been given to mock prisoners and give them hope, even when they are not there? When I watched this film on a videotape, the translation was such that this person, his appearance became transparent as glass at this moment:
You know, Padre, I even find time to pray before the execution of criminals!
- Oh, it's truly a manifestation of generosity! It is so Christian to appeal to the Lord and ask him for lost souls that depart to him.
- Screw them! I'm not praying for these prisoners' idiots. I pray for the souls they have lost.
These are the double standards of perception. You don’t know what is good and what is evil.
But back to Kagan. So at once I can not remember a villain more terrible and dangerous to society than he. A wolf in sheep's clothing.
Unfortunately, the film's description on the Movie Search page says too much about what comes next. It's not just how it will be. But you can draw conclusions that everything will end very banal. But in spite of everything, even in the epilogue it will be scary.
The film leaves a bad imprint. The most basic thoughts: “Why did I just look at this!” I would live without knowing the problems ...” And the soundtrack is such that the music, which is very annoying, even more pulls the veins. Although it is an enhanced part of saturation.
Anyway, the movie came out like this. I have never seen an actor play Kagan anywhere else. This is Michael Scheiner. Others do not deserve much attention. But this one is awesome! If only one could sing such a bastard as he depicted...
