Burt Lancaster and the Drunk Indians A very funny film was released by the director of one of the best westerns of “The Magnificent Seven” John Sturgess. In the '60s, it was the time of revisionist westerns, where the banter began, the ridicule of perfect cowboys/officers, the Indians became smart, not just savages, etc. Here we have a group of strong women who want to confiscate a garrison of whiskey in the name of sobriety. And they will be accompanied by a brave commander in the person of Burt Lancaster – a lot he will have to endure with these ladies, in particular, with the heroine Lee Remick, who played a calculating lady well, not averse to shake their values in difficult moments. Also great roles have Brian Keith and Donald Plesens as a couple of merchants eager to get their whiskey. But it wasn't. The Indians also want to get their own! Here begins a portion of good humor and without shooting was not done, but it was not violent.
In general, a great comedy western, which will appeal to all fans of classic westerns, Burt Lancaster and good cinema in general!
