I should have arrested all your fun company for complicity. Sherlock Holmes
Night. Christmas Eve. Three hardened criminals escape from prison: a man who looks like Santa Claus, a man who looks like Mikhail Gorbachev and a strange teenager. At the same time, on the road, crawling at a speed of 5 miles per hour, a car is moving with two girls inside. Along the road there are signs saying that there is a prison nearby and stopping, and even more so taking fellow travelers here is very dangerous. But the girls do not see the signs, as suspiciously strange voices carry utter nonsense. Of course, criminals easily take the girls hostage, but after driving a few hundred meters, the heroes get into an accident and... then the whole horror ends. At least for the next 50 minutes.
I don’t know what to rate the film. The movie is bad, but not as bad as it could be. Yes, the soundtrack is the music of the “Dendy” era. Yes, the heroes carry a complete mess. Yes, for 90 minutes of screen time, the entire horror component takes 10 minutes. However, watching the movie is not boring. Maybe it's all about dumb dialogue, which takes up most of the time and is more likely to mix than get on the nerves. Maybe in the story. It's weird, but it's original. Let’s not forget that most horror movies start like this: teens, played by thirty-year-old actors, go somewhere. There comes a maniac, who begins to cut teenagers. In the movie “Live in a Trap”, everything is different. In the first half of the characters of the film about forty years and more. Not all of them will die at the hands of a maniac.
The film cannot be considered a brilliant achievement. There is something unusual in the film. To sum up. “Live in a Trap” is far from a masterpiece or even an average. But still to watch, personally to me, it was interesting and for the sake of general development I recommend to see.
