Sunset striptease. "Sunset Strip", or as it is also called, "Sunset Striptease" is a little-known film with an erotic touch, which is unlikely to come across. The plot is so simple. I think a lot of people will think it’s even primitive, but there are a lot of films like this in their simplicity. The problem is rather that the screenwriter Nick Stone didn’t try too hard, because everything that happens, except dancing, looks like a link, formal and weak.
Jeff Conaway ( "Taxi", "Elvira - the Lord of Darkness", "Babylon 5", "Grease") not only played in the film, but also acted as a producer. Later he starred in much more terrible films, here he is quite convincing. For Michel Foreman, this is the third film and, in fact, the last. The previous two also dealt with the topic of striptease, but here she was given the main role. Funny, but giving the girl to play the main character, she did not get a place on the poster for the film. This is very strange, although the cover looks good, in the spirit of posters of those years, and the girl is nicer, but I think Cameron Oppenheimer would be the best choice. Cameron ("Star Trek: The Next Generation", "Samurai Cop") was the most striking of all in "Sunset Strip", even more than in the episodes "Next Generation", where she was not given due attention, although there she appeared in more than forty episodes. People familiar with Michel Clooney ("Close Friends", "Leaving Barstow", "Solar Flash", "Erotica") it will be difficult to see it among the crowd of girls, it is difficult to recognize. In the film you can see Shelly Michelle (on the poster for the film "Pretty Woman" the head Julia Robertswas superimposed on her body), Laurie Joe Hendrix and even Tim Abell("Soldiers of fortune), "Thunderstorm in the desert", "Orished to destroy", "Special Sharks"" Yes, all of them, to put it mildly, are not the best actors, but some of them work for decades, others remain in memory only thanks to such films. Among their works, after all, there are films from which you can shake off the dust and plunge into nostalgia.
There are no complaints about the visual component of the film. Although we have an inexpensive movie, everything looks very good. Since the second half of the 80s and to this day, Paul J. Wolf shoots mainly second-rate films, which have been collected since fifty. It is worth noting that among all this ugliness, there are worthy of attention netlenka. In this case, the director of Sunset Strip, I think, managed to do his job, because even not the most talented actors who play not the best way, still look decent. Here I also want to mention the trailer, which, although fully reflects the essence of the film, still presents it with a completely different mood. The case when the trailer is much weaker than the presented film. Not only is it weaker, but the footage from Sunset Striptease looks much cheaper than in the film itself. That's what bad editing means.
As for John Gonzalez, who is listed as the composer, it is not clear what compositions he is. As I understand it, all the instrumental tracks of his hands are the case, if so, I think it is worth reading other works. The list of films on which he worked is not the longest, but still impressive. In addition, there are several good tracks in the film, and in general - it was the music that did not allow you to be completely bored while watching. Most of the tracks (if not all) accompany striptease scenes, and closer to the final of the picture we are waiting for a full clip. The video is actually inserted into the picture, being either a musical pause, or a way to stretch the time. But for me it was a pleasant surprise, when a little bored, I can find something really good.
I don't know who would have liked Sunset Strip. Perhaps fans of stripteases will come, the rest recommend to refrain from watching. The film is not original, but memorable. You do not regret watching, but there is no delight. That's what it's like Sunset Striptease.
