The most fake movie of the century? Some films are so unsuccessful that the very fact of their existence is stuporous. One can only guess what made Trit Williams agree to the main role in Hurricane Force (that is how the film is called in the original), but even more questions arise to those people who approved of the not the best script and came to the conclusion that the footage may be of interest to someone. Action, disaster and adventure are mixed together and seasoned with such “fake” dialogues and actions of the characters that they are not.
No, the special effects creators probably understood how doomed Tsunami was. For this reason, they created only a couple of scenes with a huge wave, and these scenes are repeated several times without much change. Mention deserves the unfortunate ship, the episode with which clearly refers to "The Adventure of Poseidon". But what kind of disaster is happening before our eyes? Despite the fact that the characters persistently talk about a tsunami, in fact it is a hurricane, since the tsunami is formed by an earthquake and has nothing to do with the winds. Torrential rain and blue lightning look very unreliable, and the death of some characters from a lightning strike is the main technical blunder of the film, from which any viewer will fall the jaw.
As a militant, Tsunami does not stand up to criticism either. The battles with pirates were extremely unsuccessful. You can see that the characters beat the air, not each other, and the behavior of the poor pushes the film not only to Golden, but Diamond Raspberry. However, no, it is better Chocolate, because the “brightness” of the anti-rewards does not make sense. Very revealing is the scene in which from a few explosive shells the jungle explodes so much as if the undergrowth was doused with gasoline. Or it was mined. There is no need to talk about a trip to the island in the zone of a powerful hurricane, the signs of which were clearly seen by the project managers. Finally, even the chemistry between the contestants of the reality show looks strained, with implausible conflicts. Except for two or three people, you don’t believe anyone.
A film that is worth watching solely in order to get an idea of what is bad.
