And sad and boring... A lonely storyteller and a swamp witch reflect on the meaning of life through fairy tales.
A fairy tale is a lie, and there is a hint in it, and after all, the fairy tales are not someone else's, but Hans-Christian Andersen himself. Gentle soulful stories about love and betrayal, servile worship of superiors, about injustice. The authors of the film had a difficult task to bring to the screen the extraordinary sadness that is inherent in such pure, vulnerable, but thirsty heroes of Andersen, as the author himself. The actors are not selected very successfully, a young princess is not young, and in addition to sadness, there is boredom in the film, boring heroes, boring actors to play their characters, boring to watch.
